Here’s your round-up of September 2022 Disney World refurbishments for closed attractions and resorts.
If you’re planning on visiting Walt Disney World (WDW) in September, you’ll want to know what isn’t going to be up and running during your trip.
But you won’t have to guess what’ll be open and temporarily closed in September! Each month, we compile a list of everything scheduled to undergo refurbishment in the month ahead.
Not much to worry about if you’re visiting in September as there’s a very light refurbishment schedule. Don’t forget that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is in full swing as we enter the Halloween season.
Magic Kingdom

Walt Disney World Railroad: Vehicle testing is still going on at TRON Lightcycle / Run, and our fingers remain crossed that WDW Railroad will reopen by the end of the year
The Chapeau: The Chapeau is closed until the end of 2022. In the meantime, Box Office Gifts at the Town Square Theater is the destination for mouse ears and Bonjour! Village Gifts is where you’ll find artwork and other souvenirs.
Animal Kingdom

For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration: The popular Frozen Sing-Along closed for refurbishment on Aug. 22 and is on track to reopen on Sept. 9.
Water Parks

Blizzard Beach: No word as of yet on when Blizzard Beach will reopen, but hey, maybe September is the magic month? Stay tuned for an official date!
WDW Resort Hotels

All-Star Sports Resort: All-Star Sports Resort is in the midst of a phased reopening to accommodate mild refurbishments.
The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa: Refurbs are ongoing at The Villas as we get closer to the completion of an awesome new expansion by mid-2023.
WDW Transportation

September 2022 Disney World Refurbishments
Rides close often for regular service and maintenance, so any unexpected closures will likely only last for a short while. If nothing else, it’s just another excuse to come back and experience the magic again.
