We Ate Everything at Holiday Fiesta en la Calle at ABC Commissary During Jollywood Nights – Here’s What We Thought

Check out what’s on the menu at Holiday Fiesta en la Calle at ABC Commissary for this year’s Jollywood Nights events – and see how we liked everything!

There’s a whole slew of delicious Disney treats to be found at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! The new Jollywood Nights holiday event is bringing new dishes, snacks, and drinks to try, all themed around the most festive season of the year. On the very first night of Jollywood Nights, we dug in and tried out the special dishes added to the ABC Commissary menu as part of Holiday Fiesta en la Calle. We’re sharing our impressions and our favorite dishes below!

ABC Commissary Transforms for Jollywood Nights

During each Jollywood Nights party, Commissary Lane turns into a vibrant street fair called Holiday Fiesta en la Calle, with a live band playing Latin music. The party continues inside ABC Commissary, where guests will find a menu of food and drinks inspired by Latin holiday traditions.

Here’s a look at the menu that’s available for Holiday Fiesta en la Calle:

  • Chicken Empanadas with Street Corn: Chicken empanadas served with a side of street corn salad topped with chili peppers, lime, and cotija cheese
  • Yuca con Chicharrón: Fried pork belly, yuca, red pickled onions, and chili pepper-lime seasoning with a yellow pepper aïoli
  • Mushroom Taco: Chili-roasted Mixed mushrooms, avocado crema, baby gem lettuce, and garnished with sliced radish (Plant-based Item)
  • Birria Taco: Shredded short rib and Monterey jack served with beef consommé for dipping
  • Tembleque: Coconut rice pudding with caramel rum sauce and cinnamon
  • Mexican Hot Cocoa Cheesecake: Spiced chocolate cheesecake on a chocolate cookie base topped with vanilla whipped cream and cocoa powder with a chocolate handle
  • Mangonada: Frozen mango beverage with mango-chili pepper-lime sauce and chili pepper-lime seasoning on top (Non-alcoholic)
  • Zero-Proof Piña Colada: Lyre’s Spiced Cane Spirit, coconut, pineapple, and lime
  • Oaxaca Old Fashioned: Casa Dragones Blanco Tequila, Del Maguey Vida Mezcal, agave nectar, Mexican chocolate, and orange bitters served over ice garnished with an orange

While many of the food booths found throughout Disney’s Hollywood Studios during Jollywood Nights offer a single treat or snack or a few different drinks, Holiday Fiesta en la Calle at ABC Commissary has an impressively extensive menu. In our opinion, it’s a great place to get a whole bunch of different dishes and a variety of flavors. The portion sizes are comparable to what you’d get during the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, and the prices are reasonable for the amount of food served.

Plus, since ABC Commissary is a one-stop dining destination, you won’t have to waste any precious party time queuing up for food at various booths!

Holiday Fiesta en la Calle at ABC Commissary: A Review

We tried everything on the menu at Holiday Fiesta en la Calle at ABC Commissary during our time at Jollywood Nights! Below, we’re sharing our reviews of the different dishes and drinks to help you decide what’s worth trying, which items are the biggest standouts, and what you may want to skip.

Jollywood Night Drinks at ABC Commissary

You’ll find three drinks on the menu at Holiday Fiesta en la Calle at ABC Commissary: a Mangonada, a Zero-Proof Piña Colada, and a Oaxaca Old Fashioned.

Mangonada

This slushy-like nonalcoholic beverage is a play on the classic combination of sweet mango and zesty Tajin seasoning, and it replicated that flavor profile well. We found it refreshing, tasty, and nicely balanced between sweet and well-seasoned.

Zero-Proof Piña Colada

This was the only drink on the menu that we didn’t love. It was a bit watered down due to the quickly-melting ice inside, and it was light on flavor. If you’re hoping for a classic, rich piña colada without the alcohol, we suggest skipping this one.

Oaxaca Old Fashioned

We were fans of this boozy beverage on the menu. At first glance, it might not have blown us away with its appearance, but we loved the flavor when we started sipping it. It’s a quality cocktail that swaps the traditional bourbon in an Old Fashioned for tequila, which delivers a smoky flavor with hints of chocolate and orange.

Jollywood Night Food at ABC Commissary

You’ll find six food items on the menu at Holiday Fiesta en la Calle at ABC Commissary, and during our visit to Jollywood Nights we were able to try every one of them. With a mix of favorites (like those beloved Birria Tacos!), plant-based options, and even a sweet treat, you can enjoy a wide variety of flavors. Below, we’re sharing our thoughts on each dish.

Chicken Empanadas with Street Corn

This savory option features two bite-size empanadas paired with a salad that turns traditional street corn into a less-messy, nicely refreshing salad. We particularly liked the street corn salad, but we didn’t find the empanadas to be a standout. Compared to the other dishes we tried, we preferred other options with a bit more flavor.

Birria Tacos at Jollywood Nights

Birria Taco

If you’re a fan of birria tacos, you’ll love the version available at ABC Commissary during Jollywood Nights! It’s a great take on this popular taco, with crispy, melty cheese, savory shredded beef filling, and a flavor-enhancing consomme. In fact, we actually liked this birria taco better than the popular version at Disney California Adventure Park!

Yuca con Chicharron at Jollywood Nights

Yuca con Chicharrón

We were pleasantly surprised by how substantial this dish was! With enough to fill you up and satisfy your hunger in an individual portion size, the Yuca con Chicharrón featured thick yuca fries paired with a spear of pork belly and pickled onions, plus an aioli dip. Though the fries could’ve been a little crispier, we loved how sizable the components of this dish were – and the pork belly in particular was large, well-seasoned, and wonderfully luscious.

Mushroom Taco at Jollywood Nights

Mushroom Taco

If you’re looking for a dish that’s fresh and light, the mushroom taco is the way to go. It’s a great vegetarian option, but it’s certainly no afterthought on the ABC Commissary menu. We loved its garlicky flavor, impressive texture, and combination of different mushroom types paired with crunchy radishes and other delicious, texture-rich additions.

Tembleque at Jollywood Nights

Tembleque

This was an amazing dessert, and our favorite of the night! The Tembleque is traditionally a Puerto Rican coconut pudding, and this version was fantastic. While it didn’t look interesting at first glance, its flavor was perfect – especially for those who are savory fans over sweet. With a refreshing, lightly sweet coconut flavor topped with a rum caramel sauce, its soft, light texture impressed us.

Mexican Hot Coca Cheesecake at Jollywood Nights

Mexican Hot Cocoa Cheesecake

If you’re looking for a treat that’s as photo-worthy as it is delicious, this is it. This chocolatey, cinnamon-filled cheesecake features adorable plating, with a handle that makes it look like a cup of hot chocolate (complete with marshmallows and whipped cream!). With just the right amount of cinnamon added in, it replicates a classic Mexican hot cocoa perfectly.

Thanks to Disney for hosting us on the opening night of Jollywood Nights, where we were able to experience food, beverage, and entertainment options including the much-anticipated return of nighttime spectacular, Jingle Bell Jingle Bam. #jollywoodnights
