When Disney invited us out for the media preview of the 2020 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, they also gave us an advanced screening of two of the new shows coming to the park! We saw the new Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along and Canada Far and Wide. Here’s our sneak peek, just for WDW Magazine readers!
Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along
We started our day at the Palais du Cinema in the France Pavilion where we viewed the new gallery and the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along.

The gallery, “Tales as Old as Time: French Storytelling on Stage and Screen” showcases a collection of costumes, props and artwork from different French stories in cinema, theater, ballet, and opera. This gallery will continue after the festival and feature different displays from time to time.

Next, we went into the theater to view the new Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along. The show was very enjoyable and even has a little plot twist that differs from the original movies. I highly recommend it for the whole family.
Canada Far and Wide
Located next to Le Cellier in the Canada Pavilion is another new show: Canada Far and Wide in Circle-Vision 360°. This 12-minute show is narrated by Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara and takes you on a breathtaking tour of the country.

The last new show premiering on Friday is Awesome Planet in the Land Pavilion. While we did not get the opportunity to preview the film, we did find out that it is narrated by Ty Burrel from Modern Family.
Disney says of Awesome Planet, “With spectacular nature photography, immersive in-theater effects, and space sequences created by none other than Industrial Light & Magic (which provided the cinematic foundation for the Star Wars franchise), ‘Awesome Planet’ will stir EPCOT guests and deliver an environmental message that will resonate far beyond its final scenes.”
We are so excited about these new shows coming to some of our favorite pavilions at EPCOT! What do you think of the costumes on display with the new Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along show? Let’s chat about the new show in our group on Facebook!
