It’s hard to find a better word to describe the holidays at Walt Disney World than simply “magical.” The festive season brings beautiful decorations to each of the four parks and all the hotels, along with exciting entertainment and special treats. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can enjoy Disney Jollywood Nights, while Magic Kingdom brings back Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. And, of course, the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays kicks off at the park in late November.
One of the most memorable annual events that happens in Disney World year after year for the holidays is the gingerbread houses. These magnificent displays can be found in several of Disney World’s Resort hotels. We’re sharing your complete guide to this exciting part of the holidays, including where you can find each of the gingerbread displays for 2025.
Disney World Gingerbread House Displays 2025
Each year, several of the Disney World Resort hotels celebrate the holiday season with a massive gingerbread house or display. These beautiful structures take months of planning and preparation, with the culinary team at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa even beginning to mix the dough for their life-size gingerbread house in the spring.
The gingerbread displays are not all the same. The largest and most well-known is at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Here you can find a life-size gingerbread house where you can purchase assorted holiday treats, including gingerbread shingles. Other hotels form their own themes and designs for their gingerbread display. For example, in years past, we’ve seen a gingerbread giraffe at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, along with a gingerbread BoardWalk Deli at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn.
Gingerbread House Locations
For 2025, there will be one major omission of the gingerbread houses. Due to ongoing construction in the Grand Floridian lobby, the hotel will not feature a gingerbread house for this year’s holiday season. However, gingerbread displays can be found at the following hotels:
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
- Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
As of now, we don’t have details on what the displays will look like, but they will each be available through January 1, 2026. Read on to learn a bit more about what we have seen at the past for each of these resorts!
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Gingerbread House
While not available for 2025, typically, the Grand Floridian features the largest gingerbread house. IN 2024, Gingerbread House the display included white chocolate candy canes, edible snowflakes, sugar poinsettias, and an 88-pound white chocolate Santa. You can also typically find a menu of treats to purchase each year.
Disney’s Beach Club Resort
Disney’s Beach Club has featured a life-sized Holiday Carousel for 24 years now, with a new theme each year. For 2024, the theme was characters from Mickey’s Christmas Carol, made with 432 pounds of honey, 200 pounds of icing, 100 pounds of eggs, and 2024 pieces of gingerbread.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Back for its fifth year in 2025, last year, the resort featured Life-Size Baby Gingerbread Giraffe and Baby Zebra displays in the lobby of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Along with the display, guests could purchase a Gigneraffe cookie, specialty cocktails, as well as a cookie jar, a limited-edition pin, and a holiday ornament.
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
In 2024, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn brought back its BoardWalk Deli Gingerbread House, themed after the nearby eatery. You can also typically purchase a menu of treats.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort
In 2024, Disney’s Contemporary Resort brought back its Castle Display for a 13th year (TBD if it will return for a 14th year in 2025, but chances are high!). For 2024, the overlay was inspired by the Cinderella Castle Dream Lights, and could be found on the 4th floor of the resort. The display was 17 feet tall and 25 feet wide, made with 613 pounds of sugar, 1013 pounds of flour, 113 pounds of gingerbread spice, 51 pounds of chocolate, and over 4,000 castle gingerbread bricks.
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Last year, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge didn’t have its own gingerbread display; instead, it just offered a menu of treats. We’ll update this space once we have information on what’s planned for 2025!
Gingerbread Capital City at EPCOT
You can typically find an impressive gingerbread display at EPCOT during the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays at the American Adventure.
Typically, the display recreates classic American monuments, such as the Lincoln Memorial and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial. Plus, it has gingerbread versions of EPCOT favorites like The American Adventure building with Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue, and a Festival Marketplace.

What dates are the gingerbread houses on display?
Typically, the gingerbread displays will go up at the beginning of Disney World’s holiday season. With the 2025 holidays beginning on November 14, we expect all displays to be up around that date. However, we have seen some structures go up a bit earlier or a bit later in years past. They will be up through January 1, 2026.
Do you have to be a guest of the hotel to visit a Disney World gingerbread house?
You don’t! You’ll find plenty of people visiting these displays who aren’t staying at the respective hotel.
