StellaLou’s Wonderful Wishes Ballet has debuted at Hong Kong Disneyland as part of the “Duffy and Friends Play Days.”

It’s an exciting time to visit Hong Kong Disneyland. As part of the “Duffy and Friends Play Days,” the park has brought a new immersive experience, new merchandise, and adorable treats for guests to enjoy. Hong Kong Disneyland also debuted a new show, StellaLou’s Wonderful Wishes Ballet, which began with performances on April 4, 2023. The new show features Duffy’s friend StellaLou, a spunky rabbit who wants to be a ballerina. The 30-minute show features an original theme song, costumes, and choreography, with dancers from both Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and the Hong Kong Ballet.

For the premiere, StellaLou was joined onstage by officiating guests, Kevin Yeung Yun-hung, Secretary for Culturue, Sports, and Tourism of the Hong Kong Sar Government. Alongside them were Linda Fung, Vice-Chairman of Board of Governors of Hong Kong Ballet, and Michael Moriarty, managing director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

“We’re thrilled to bring this one-of-its-kind performance to life together with Hong Kong Ballet, connecting Disney fans and ballet lovers alike through cultural collaboration. As a premium destination in the region, we will continue to explore more opportunities to curate exclusive experiences for guests at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and to take our entertainment experiences to a whole new level,” said Michael Moriarty.

The Hong Kong Ballet shared his enthusiasm, with Fung sharing, “Hong Kong Ballet shares the same passion as Hong Kong Disneyland Resort for bringing world-class performances to audiences. We’re honored to put on this show where one of StellaLou’s dreams came true – the very same dream of every ballet dancer. My dream is that more people will fall in love with ballet after watching it.”

The talented dancers from both Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and the Hong Kong Ballet are joined onstage by StellaLoue, along with the support of her friends, including Duffy, LinaBell, and Gelatoni. Speaking about the special show even Yeung Yun-hung, Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Hong Kong SAR Government, said, ““ ‘StellaLou’s Wonderful Wishes Ballet’ exemplifies the collaboration between performing arts and tourism; it brings our city’s wonderful diversity and creativity in the most fantastic and immersive ways.”

The show has scheduled performances four to five times a day from April 5 to 10, and April 14 to 16. You can check it out only at Hong Kong Disneyland!
