Wondering what the Disney World hotel perks are for 2024? We’re sharing everything you need to know about the benefits of staying on-site.

There are a lot of reasons to book a Disney World Resort hotel for your Walt Disney World vacation…and it’s not just the customer service and Disney theming! Staying at a Disney hotel can actually make your entire vacation easier in a lot of ways.

From free theme park transportation to get where you want to go without a hassle, to extra time in all four Disney parks, to early access to dining reservations and special ticketed events, quite a few perks come with your stay. And, so you don’t miss out on any of them, we’ve compiled a full list of Disney World hotel perks in 2024 and what you need to know about them to take full advantage.

Early Theme Park Entry

In 2021, Disney got rid of Extra Magic Hours and replaced it with something a bit simpler to keep track of – Early Theme Park Entry. With Early Theme Park Entry, any guest staying at any Disney World Resort hotel gets access to all four theme parks 30 minutes before the park officially opens for the day every day of the week. So, you don’t have to worry about keeping track of what parks have extra hours for hotel guests on specific days of the week…just head to the park of your choosing 30 minutes early!

Disney has confirmed that this perk will last all the way through 2024, so you can fit in a ride or two at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom before the rest of the crowds are even allowed in the parks!

Extended Evening Theme Park Hours

Extended Evening Theme Park Hours are another way that Disney hotel guests can get extra time in the Disney parks. But, there’s a catch…you must be staying at a Disney World Deluxe Resort or Villa. This perk is a bit more exclusive, but it can really benefit you if you’re staying at the right resort.

So far, Extended Evening Theme Park Hours has been offered at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom on select nights each week, giving guests an additional 2 hours in the evening to enjoy the parks. Disney releases the Extended Evening Theme Park Hours dates and times throughout the year, so be sure to check the park hours information before your trip for up-to-date information.

Free Theme Park Parking & Transportation

Driving to Disney World? You won’t have to worry about paying extra to park your car at your hotel or the theme parks if you’re staying at a Disney World hotel! In 2024, Disney brought back complimentary resort and theme park parking for anyone staying at a Disney hotel which saves you about $25+ a day.

And, if you prefer not to have to worry about navigating the Disney World roads, all Disney hotel guests also have convenient and free access to Disney’s transportation system. Depending on where you stay, you’ll be able to hop on a ride to the parks, water parks, and Disney Springs on a Disney bus, boat, monorail, or Disney Skyliner.

Extended Dining Reservation Window

While Disney no longer allows Disney hotel guests to make their dining reservations quite as far in advance as they used to, hotel guests do still have a leg up in securing those hard-to-get reservations!

As a Disney hotel guest, the dining reservation window opens up 60 days before the first day of your trip and allows you to make reservations for the entire length of your trip (up to 10 days). Non-Disney hotel guests don’t get this extra 10-day window, so there’s a better chance that you’ll be able to book the reservations you want.

Early Access To Individual Lightning Lane Attractions

If skipping long lines is on your priority list for your next vacation, you’ll likely be looking into purchasing Disney Genie+ and/or Individual Lightning Lane Attractions. While Disney hotel guests don’t get a leg up on Genie+ reservations currently, they do get early access to purchasing Individual Lighting Lane entry for select a-la-carte rides in the parks. Currently, this includes Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and TRON Lightcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Avatar Flight of Passage in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

While regular-day guests have to wait until the park opens to book Lightning Lanes at these rides, Disney World hotel guests can begin booking at 7 AM on the day of their visit. This means that you’ll have a better chance at getting your desired attraction and 1-hour return window.

Discounted MagicBands

If you’re looking forward to sporting a MagicBand during your Disney World vacation, you’ll be excited to know that you can get them at a discount before you’re trip if you’re staying at a Disney hotel!

Currently, all Disney hotel guests can order a customized MagicBand or MagicBand+ online through their My Disney Experience account at up to 50% off. Just note that you have to place your order 6 days or more before your trip. Otherwise, you’ll need to purchase a MagicBand at full price in a Disney World merchandise store when you arrive.

Early Access To Disney Special Event Tickets

Disney After Hours events, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are some of the most popular events that Disney World offers throughout the year and tickets can sell out fast. However, if you’re staying at a Disney World Resort hotel, you don’t have as much to worry about because tickets for these events go on sale early for guests.

Usually, the early purchase window opens a few days before they go on sale to the general public, so be sure that you book your hotel early to take advantage of this perk.

Optional Disney Dining Plans

As of January 9th, 2024, Disney Dining Plans are BACK! These pre-paid meal plans have been a fan-favorite benefit for years and the only way to add one to your vacation package is to have a reservation at a Disney World hotel.

Currently, there are two Disney Dining Plans available for Disney hotel guests – the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan and the Disney Dining Plan. You can add these onto your vacation package when you book your hotel and park tickets or call to Disney’s customer service line to add it on after you book.

“Hey Disney!” Voice Assistance

Staying at a Disney World hotel is even “techier” now with the introduction of the “Hey Disney!” Voice Assistant. Each hotel room comes with an Amazon Echo device that features a new “Magical Disney Companion” who can help you with any questions you may have during your stay. From theme park hours to the weather, to ordering extra towels to your room, you don’t have to pick up the phone to get help anymore. Plus, “Hey Disney!” features fun games, trivia, stories, and music for kids which can be a big perk for those who need to distract their little ones while they get ready for the day.

So, get ready for your Disney World hotel stay to add a little bit more to your next vacation! And, if you’re not sure which Disney hotel to choose, be sure to check out what changes are coming to Disney World hotels in 2024 here!
