World of Frozen Will Feature New Attractions

When the World of Frozen debuts at Hong Kong Disneyland, it’ll be home to the world’s first Frozen–themed land – and the largest expansion to date at this international theme park. But it won’t merely show off the stunning landscapes you saw in the Walt Disney Animation Studios film. This impressive land will be home to two new attractions: Frozen Ever After and Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs.
Frozen Ever After will be familiar to Walt Disney World Resort Guests who’ve experienced the attraction of the same name at EPCOT. Hong Kong Disneyland’s version will be similar, bringing guests through scenes from Frozen with a storyline that commemorates the day Princess Anna saved her sister, Queen Elsa.
Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs will be a first-of-its-kind Frozen-themed family-friendly roller coaster. Guests will explore the forest neighboring Arendelle, climbing aboard an exciting and fast-moving sleigh built by Oaken himself that travels through the natural landscape.
And in addition to these two new attractions, World of Frozen will also be home to a quick-service restaurant and merchandise outlets.
You can take a look at the incredible landscape – and the details! – of Arendelle, its restaurant, its shops, and its attractions as they take shape in the drone video of the construction site below.
A Truly Immersive Land
The World of Frozen will bring Guests into a wholly immersive new world. It’s like stepping into the film itself, with authentic details and iconic landmarks that will instantly resonate with Frozen fans.
As you can see in the drone footage above, monuments like the clock tower, Elsa’s Ice Palace atop the North Mountain, and Arendelle Castle are all visible. Together, these icons make the land feel lifelike and utterly impressive!
Keep an Eye Out for Realistic Audio-Animatronic Figures from Frozen
This new land at Hong Kong Disneyland is so wonderfully realistic that you’ll even be able to greet brand-new (and high-tech) Audio-Animatronics figures of beloved Frozen characters.
For example, you’ll be able to see a real-life scale Audio-Animatronic figure of Elsa. Created in collaboration with Walt Disney Animation Studios, every detail of her costume, movements, and expressions seems like the queen herself has stepped off the screen and into real life. When you see Elsa performing “Let It Go,” you’ll be surprised at how her facial expressions and physical movements bring her to life! You can check out a sneak peek below:
