Morimoto Asia: Holiday Events, New Merch, and Great Food

If you’re at Disney Springs this weekend, make sure to check out the Morimoto Asia holiday events. Chef Masaharu Morimoto is on property this weekend, bringing his irrepressible good spirit and world-famous culinary talent to his namesake venue. Here’s the lineup of what to expect this weekend:

Morimoto Asia Holiday Events Start With House of Suntory Whisky

Love whisky? This is the event for you. Chef Morimoto will celebrate a century of House of Suntory whiskys at the Suntory 100th Anniversary Tasting. On both nights, a small number of people can taste whisky paired with small bites. Dec. 1-2, 5 p.m.; $355, plus tax and tip. 21 and older only. Get tickets.

Momokase

For you and nine other lucky people can dine with Chef Morimoto at Momokase. Chef Morimoto will prepare this seven-course meal (we asked, and he told us the menu was a secret, but we’re writing this in Morimoto Asia and everything smells delicious!). The meal includes rare House of Suntory whisky, and if you’d like, you can upgrade to get a 1/4-ounce taste of Yamazaki 55 (there’s only 200 bottles on the entire planet, so, yes, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.) Dec. 1-2, 7 p.m. $2,000, plus tax and tip. 21 and older only. Get tickets here. (Dec. 1 has sold out)

12 Beers of Christmas: A Morimoto Asia Holiday

Before he flies away, Chef Morimoto will host the 12 Beers of Christmas (it’s like the song, but with beer, and he probably won’t sing). You can try 12 beers, each paired with a different food. This is the sole kid-friendly event in the weekend, with nonalcoholic drinks available for your littles. You have two options here: general admission, or a booth with a dedicated server.  Dec. 3, two times available. $55-$95, plus tax and tip.Get tickets here
