The Easiest Dining Reservations to Grab in Disney Springs

by | Apr 12, 2024 | Disney Springs, Walt Disney World Food, WDW Blog

A last minute visit to Disney Springs can often mean that you don’t have any dining reservations prepared ahead of time. But, if you know where to look, you can actually snag some easy reservations.

When you’re searching for a place to eat across Walt Disney World Resort, it’s common to be faced with a frustrating issue: Failing to get an advance dining reservation (ADR). Reservations are a must-have for many table service restaurants, even if you’re visiting Disney Springs. So, if you want to grab a bite at the last minute, you may encounter problems. With restaurants like Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ and T-Rex Cafe known to book up two months in advance, you might not know where to look to get a table.

If you’re searching for easy, last-minute dining reservations at Disney Springs, we’ve got some tips! As Disney World experts who are always in the parks and at Disney Springs, we’re sharing our insider knowledge on how to get last-minute dining reservations (plus our recommendations for some of the best places to get those reservations).

Tips for Getting Reservations in Disney Springs

Check the My Disney Experience App First

A great place to start for dining reservations is the My Disney Experience app. As your go-to destination for all kinds of reservations during your stay, the app offers a real-time look at waitlists and reservations as they become available in the Disney system. We recommended checking the app throughout the day to see if more reservations appear; often, cancellations will pop up.

However, it’s a tradeoff –– while cancellations do show up randomly throughout the day, they often get snapped up fast. Reservations on the My Disney Experience app are usually the first to go, since a lot of people use this platform first.

Consider a Landry’s Card

If you’re interested in dining at T-Rex Cafe in Disney Springs, which is often an extremely hard reservation to obtain, we suggest becoming a Landry’s Select Member. For a one-time fee of $25, you will be a Landry’s Member, which means you can receive priority reservations and walk-up service in any Landry’s Restaurant. It’s a handy way to circumvent the usual Disney World dining reservation system!

As an added perk, you’ll receive coupons and other incentives that make up for that $25 you spent to join. There are also other Landry’s locations in Walt Disney World, including Yak and Yeti in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and both Rainforest Cafe locations (in Animal Kingdom and at Disney Springs), where you can take advantage of your Landry’s membership.

Try OpenTable

My favorite tip for getting those hard-to-get dining reservations at Disney Springs? Use OpenTable instead of Disney!

That’s right: OpenTable, the reservation app and website you can use for most non-Disney restaurants across the U.S., will work at Disney Springs. Since most of the restaurants (and therefore reservations) in Disney Springs are not actually owned by Disney, most do typically appear on the OpenTable system… and they have same-day reservations available!

It’s easy to use the OpenTable platform to search and make dining reservations, even at the very last minute. Just be sure to search the Lake Buena Vista area on OpenTable since it doesn’t recognize Disney Springs as a dedicated city or area. You will notice that a lot of restaurants you see on OpenTable are quite popular in Disney Springs, so it’s a great perk that they are on this platform.

5 Disney Springs Restaurants Where Reservations Are Easy to Get

While the above tips are sure to help you score those last-minute dining reservations across Disney Springs and its many restaurants, there are also a few dining destinations where reservations are always easier to get. If you’re not picky about where you’d like to eat, or you aren’t interested in a high-demand, incredibly popular restaurant, we suggest snagging a reservation at one of these spots.

All of the restaurants below are on the My Disney Experience app reservation system as well as on OpenTable.

Other Restaurants to Consider in Disney Springs

If obtaining a dining reservation at any of the Disney Springs restaurants you’d like to visit is still difficult, consider the multitude of quick-service locations available instead of a table service one. From options like The Polite Pig to Earl of Sandwich to The Smokehouse at the House of Blues, these locations are typically easier to get into and don’t require any advanced dining reservations.
