The Race Themes for the 2024 runDisney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend Are Here!

Find out what themes will be featured for each race during this year’s Wine & Dine Half Marathon at Walt Disney World Resort (and yes, The Muppets will be included!)

Are you ready to hit the pavement around Walt Disney World this fall and join the races for the 2024 runDisney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend? Well, if you’ve been eager to sign up and find out what beloved Disney characters and stories will be featured as the race themes, we’ve finally got the answer!

In 2024, the runDisney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend will celebrate its 15th year –– and there are some exciting plans for this milestone race event. From October 31 to November 3, 2024, the races will celebrate some of Disney’s most iconic (and totally wacky) chefs and their food. Find out what’s in store for each of the weekend’s races below.

2024 runDisney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend Race Themes

During the Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend at Disney World, runDisney participants can race in any of the following events:

Each race will feature its own theming and cast of characters. Here’s a look at what’s in store.

Disney Wine & Dine 5K: The Muppets

If you love The Muppets, you’re going to want to sign up for the 5K during the runDisney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend. This race, which spans 3.1 miles, will feature plenty of Muppet-inspired madness (and you can bet on some zany antics from the foodie of the bunch, the Swedish Chef!).

Here’s an overview of what you can expect if you’re hoping to sign up for the Wine & Dine 5K:

  • Race takes place Friday, November 1, 2024 at 5:00 AM
  • Club runDisney Gold and Platinum Registration opens March 5, 2024
  • General Registration opens March 12, 2024

Disney Wine & Dine 10K: The Princess and the Frog

Who better to lead one of the Wine & Dine races than Tiana herself? With the brand-new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure slated to open in summer 2024 at Magic Kingdom Park, it’s no surprise that this princess turned restaurateur will be the face of one of the races. Expect to catch Tiana herself, along with other iconic members of The Princess and the Frog cast to make appearances!

Here’s an overview of what you can expect if you’re hoping to sign up for the Wine & Dine 10K:

  • Race takes place Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 5:00 AM
  • Club runDisney Gold and Platinum Registration opens March 5, 2024
  • General Registration opens March 12, 2024

Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon: Ratatouille

Anyone can cook, and anyone can run –– especially with Remy by their side! If you’re running the half marathon during the Disney Wine & Dine race weekend, you’ll join hosts Chef Remy and Linguini at the starting line for the 13.1-mile trek. As you race past some of the finest cuisine in Paris, you’ll also spot characters and pass some of Disney World’s most iconic locations.

  • Race takes place Sunday, November 3, 2024 at 5:00 AM
  • Club runDisney Gold and Platinum Registration opens March 5, 2024

It’s no secret that runDisney events are hugely popular, so if you’re hoping to participate in any of the above races during the 2024 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, you’ll want to register ASAP!
