Fully Vaccinated Guests Ages 12+?

As you might’ve guessed from the news above, these changes still require Guests ages 12 and up to be fully vaccinated in order to sail. Proof of vaccination must be uploaded to the Inspire Diagnostics Safe Passage website by midnight before your cruise’s embarkation day. For more information, read “Before Leaving Home: Know Before You Go” on the Disney Cruise Line website.

However, fully vaccinated Guests no longer need to participate in COVID-19 testing before they sail.

What Vaccines Are Accepted?

For more information about COVID-19 vaccination requirements and testing for Guests ages 11 and under, visit DisneyCruise.com

Guests Who Aren’t Fully Vaccinated?

According to the new policy, “Guests [ages 11 and under] who are NOT fully vaccinated must continue providing proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken one to three days before the sail date.” Disney Cruise Line indicates that the test “must be a rapid or lab-based PCR test, or Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAAT). Rapid antigen tests are not accepted.”

Proof of a negative COVID-19 test result must be uploaded to the Inspire Diagnostics Safe Passage website by midnight before your cruise’s embarkation day. For more information, read “Before Leaving Home: Know Before You Go” on the Disney Cruise Line website.

But under the revised policy, Guests who aren’t fully vaccinated at the time of their sailing won’t have to complete a second round of COVID testing on the day they board the ship.

Guests Recently Recovered From COVID-19?

As we previously reported, Guests who have recently recovered from COVID-19 between 11 and 90 days of their sailing date may not need to test at all. However, those Guests are still required to provide “90-Day-Recovered” documentation.

When Do The COVID Testing Changes Take Effect?

Here’s when Disney Cruise Line’s new COVID testing policy for fully vaccinated Guests (ages 12 and older) goes into effect.

Fully vaccinated guests on the following sailings are no longer required to participate in COVID-19 testing before they board:

  • September 23, 2022: Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish and Disney Wonder
  • November 7, 2022: Disney Magic

If your upcoming cruise on the Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy or Disney Wish is impacted by the changes and you now want to cancel or modify your sailing, you must do so by September 12, 2022. Cancellation and modification requests received before September 12 will not result in any Disney-imposed cancellation fees.
