Discover the magic of the ‘Frozen’-themed night aboard the Disney Wonder as you sail to Alaska – and what you can expect in terms of food, fun, and festivities.

Are you ready to “freeze the night away” with beloved characters from the Disney animated film Frozen? On select Alaskan sailings aboard Disney Cruise Line, Guests are able to experience an entire night of icy, Disney Princess-inspired fun with a Frozen-themed deck party, meet-and-greets with favorite friends, and more! So, to help you plan (and pack) for your cruise aboard the Disney Wonder with a Frozen night, we’re sharing a guide that’ll tell you exactly what kinds of events and activities you can expect.

Here’s everything you need to know about the “Freezing the Night Away” event aboard the Disney Wonder.

You’ll Dine On A Nordic-Inspired Menu

For the Frozen night aboard the Disney Wonder, Guests will dine on a Nordic-inspired menu fit for a royal feast! The flavors of each dish are inspired by the setting of the Frozen films, and the menu items themselves are named and themed after the characters you know and love.

Appetizers include the Duke of Weselton’s Favorites Assorted Meats and Cheese with Knäckebröd, Pumpernickel, and Pickles and Elsa’s Coronation Scallops Princess Scallops baked in a shrimp cognac-tarragon cream sauce, topped with flaky pastry.

You’ll follow your appetizer with a soup or salad. Menu highlights include Andersen’s Baby Field Greens with vanilla, apricots, brioche croutons, candied walnuts, and lingonberry dressing as well as Sven’s Carrot Soup with caraway and cream.

For your entrée, be sure to try Anna’s Honey-Mustard-marinated Salmon with sautéed spinach, new potatoes, and an aquavit sour cream sauce or Kristoff’s Rosemary-marinated Strip Loin with crushed red bliss potatoes, buttered green beans, and a cabernet jus.

And for those of you who are vegetarians, Pabbi and Bulda have prepared wonderful meal options for you! First, Pabbi’s Stuffed Cabbage Roulades Savoy Cabbage is stuffed with brown rice, asparagus, leeks, carrots, and lingonberry and served with a dill cream sauce. Secondly, Bulda made a Vegetable Turnover filled with carrots, spinach, and shallots, which is then baked in a puff pastry and is served with a white wine-thyme cream sauce.

But make sure to save room for dessert, because Elsa and Anna have a delightful menu! It includes Elsa’s Chocolate and Raspberry Tart layered with fresh raspberries, chocolate ganache and chocolate truffle mousse brushed with raspberry paste. Guests can also choose the Oaken Warm Apple Pudding Cake, served with butterscotch cinnamon sauce and vanilla bean Ice cream.

Get Ready to Dance at the “Freezing The Night Away” Deck Party

After you enjoy your Frozen-inspired meal (or before, depending on which dining time you have), be sure to head on up to the pool deck for the “Freezing the Night Away With Anna, Elsa and Friends” deck party.

This show features all of your favorite Frozen characters – Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Sven, Olaf, and the trolls – as they sing and dance to some of the most beloved songs from the animated movie. Elsa may even use her powerful ice magic, so keep your eyes peeled!

After the show ends, the ship’s upper decks are covered with giant snowflakes, icicles, and snow-covered rocks, which makes for an absolutely magical atmosphere. Guests are guaranteed to have a wintry blast at the “Freezing the Night Away” deck party, both during and after the party gets underway.

Dress Up in Frozen-Inspired Attire

Although it isn’t mandatory, many Guests dress for the occasion during Frozen night aboard the Disney Wonder by wearing their best themed outfits.

Many children dress up as mini Anna and Elsa, while some of the boys channel their inner Kristoff or Olaf. Adults also partake in the fun! They tend to dress in blue or silver dresses for Anna and Elsa inspired looks, or they wear simply Frozen-themed t-shirts to capture the spirit of the evening. You can get as dressed up as much as you’d like for the occasion during your sailing. No matter how you choose to celebrate Frozen night on the Disney Wonder, it’s a magical experience!
