Disney is celebrating World Princess Week 2023 with special treats and fun experiences. We’re sharing a complete guide to celebrating in the parks or at home!

While Halloween may be at the front of mind when it comes to August in Disney World, there’s another holiday the parks is celebrating this month. World Princess Week 2023 takes place from August 20th to 26th, and Disney Parks are celebrating! But, whether you plan on celebrating from the parks or at home, you have plenty of options. We’re sharing a complete guide for everything you need to know about the celebration, along with the merchandise and other activities you can enjoy.

What is World Princess Week?

According to Disney, World Princess Week is a celebration of the “beloved storytelling of Disney Princesses.” The week celebrates fan-favorite Disney Princesses with special events, food, and more. You can check out the Disney Parks TikTok that showed the kick-off of the celebration below.

Experiences in the Disney Parks

While Disney hasn’t revealed any new experiences coming to the parks just yet for World Princess Week, there are ways to visit the Disney Princesses at each of the Disney Parks and Resorts. We’re sharing a few highlights of special ways you can meet the Disney Princesses!

Walt Disney World

At Walt Disney World, you can meet Ariel from the live-action Little Mermaid at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where she is greeting guests for a limited time at Walt Disney Presents. At Magic Kingdom, you can spot the Disney Princesses in the Festival of Fantasy Parade or meet them at Princess Fairytale Hall in Fantasyland.

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you can meet Moana over at Character Landing. And in EPCOT, there are also several ways to meet the Disney Princesses, including through character dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall or meeting Anna and Elsa at Royal Summerhus, both in the Norway Pavilion.

Disney World will also be celebrating its Once Upon a Wish Party, a special event dreamed up for Make-a-Wish families. This spring, wish granters handed out invitations to the guests of honor, who were invited to attend.

Disneyland Resort

At Disneyland Resort, you can spot Moana, Cinderella, Tiana, Aurora, and more in the Magic Happens parade. You’ll also find plenty of opportunities around the park for a royal photo op! There’s an opportunity to meet the Disney Princesses at The Royal Hall or Fantasy Faire or dine with them at the Disney Princess Breakfast Adventure at Napa Rose inside Disney’s Grand Californian Resort & Spa.

International Disney Parks

At Disneyland Park at Disneyland Paris, you can dine with the Disney Princesses at L’Auberge de Cendrillon or take in the beauty of Sleeping Beauty Castle. You can also snap a picture with the Princesses at Princess Pavilion!

Hong Kong Disneyland has a particularly unique Disney Princess-inspired castle. Its Castle of Magical Dreams is actually inspired by thirteen stories of Disney Princess characters, including Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, Rapunzel, Merida, and Moana. You can also meet the Princesses in the park, like Moana and Pocahonta at Adventureland, as well as Disney Princesses and Queens at the Royal Reception Hall.

At Shanghai Disney Resort you can meet Princesses at Enchanted Storybook Castle, where you may encounter, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Aurora, or Snow White.

And over at Tokyo Disney Resort, you can enjoy the new Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast attraction, where you can ride aboard an enchanted cup through various scenes from the beloved film!

Disney’s Aulani Resort

At Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina, Hawai’i, guests can meet with Moana at select times!Little kids can also join her at Aunty’s Beach House for Kakamore Chaos with Moana, where she will teach children’s games, including the Kakamora Relay.

Guests aged three to ten at the resort can also be transformed into Moana at Painted Sky: HI Style Studio!

Disney Princess Merchandise and Experiences at Home

Leading up to World Princess Week, there are ways to celebrate the Disney Princesses at home. Whether through fun activities or exciting merchandise, these are just a few of the things Disney has shared to lead up to the event.

Making Wonder Series and LEGO Disney Princess: The Castle Quest

LEGO and Disney are teaming up to celebrate the Disney Princesses. On the Disney YouTube channel you can watch the Making Wonder series, where hosts Nicole and Mari use LEGO Bricks to build a one-of-a-kind Disney with the help of Youth Leaders from Girl Up. This organization is a girl-centered leadership development initiative established by the United Nations Foundation that focuses on equity for girls and women.

And on Disney+, a new special will debut on August 18th. The LEGO Disney Princess: The Castle Quest special features Tiana, Moana, Snow White, Rapunzel, and Ariel on an adventure to a mysterious castle. There they will discover Gaston has hatched an evil plan to take over their kingdoms, and the Princesses must work together to solve challenges and save their kingdoms.

On August 15th, Mattel will be releasing the incredible Disney Princess Magical Adventures Castle. This massive four-foot-tall castle will include lights, sounds, and play areas inspired by the different Disney Princesses.
