World of Disney Grand Reveal Date Announced

It’s no secret that World of Disney at Disney Springs has been undergoing some intense renovations this year. Some sections of the newly renovated store have already been reopened, causing a slurry of mixed reviews from Disney fans. While some say that the new décor lacks Disney magic, I think we’re all in for a pleasant surprise once everything is revealed.

Speaking of which, Disney announced that the Grand Reveal of World of Disney will be next Saturday, October 27th. The ribbon-cutting event will be open to the public so all are welcome!

This week we were invited by Disney to take a peek at some new merchandise arriving just in time for the start of the holiday shopping season! We would like to thank Disney for inviting us to this media preview and for giving us some very special goodies to take home.

New Renovations

The renovations include new hardwood floors, brick columns, and high rafter ceilings. The new look fits in perfectly with the rustic industrial theme of Disney Springs. The story is that the store is housed in a repurposed fruit-packing plant that was taken over by Disney animators. You’ll find clues of this all throughout the store!

There are nods to animation even before entering the store. Just look at the window displays!

The checkout counters are artist drafting tables with Disney character sketches all over them. You’ll even find a bulletin board on the wall honoring a few notable Disney animators.

You’ll also find some framed animation sketches on the brick columns.

Brand New Mickey Mouse Club Merchandise

At the media event, we had the opportunity to be among the first to see the new Mickey Mouse Club themed merchandise! There is an entire section of the store dedicated to it. If you love retro merchandise, you better keep an eye on your wallet!

There is also still some other Mickey Mouse merchandise available and on display.

Minnie Mouse, Rose Gold, & More

Minnie Mouse even has her own section of themed women’s apparel.

If you’re looking for Rose Gold or Millennial Pink merchandise, look no further!

They have an entire wall dedicated to cute ear headbands.

And a whole section dedicated to everyone’s favorite Disney snacks.

There is no shortage of graphic tees in this store!

Kids Apparel, Toys, & Plush

If you have little ones to shop for, they’ll love this section. It has cool neon signs, lots of toys, and a whole wall of Disney plush!

Final Thoughts Before the Grand Reveal

Overall, I love the new look of World of Disney! It’s trendy, sleek, and spacious with so many subtle details. On the surface it isn’t overtly Disney, but I think that will change once the store “comes to life” at the Grand Reveal. Stay tuned for our coverage of the Grand Reveal next week!
