Why Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is a Must Visit for Families

We’re sharing all the reasons why you need to make a reservation for Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue in Disney World!

It’s the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue!

Whether you have dined at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue before or if you are checking it out for the first time, this dining experience is perfect for the entire family. Guests who join the Pioneer Hall players will be immersed in a wild west themed dinner show for two hours as they enjoy Wild West dancing and singing, comedy (complete with corny jokes), and a delicious southern-style meal, leaving guests fully satisfied each and every time.

If you have been debating on dining at Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue, here are the many reasons why this dinner show, located at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground, is the perfect experience for the entire family.

What’s On The Hoop-Dee-Doo Menu?

One of the best parts about Hoop-Dee-Doo is the southern-style, all-you-can-eat (and drink) menu. Unlimited draft beer, wine, and sangria are available for guests 21 years of age and older, as well as soft drinks such as soda and water.

And be sure to bring your appetite because families will start with a tossed green salad, creamy coleslaw, and freshly baked cornbread, followed by all-you-care-to-enjoy fried chicken and smoked BBQ pork ribs, cowboy beans, macaroni-and-cheese, and mashed potatoes. Both kids and adults alike will absolutely love this meal but save room for dessert because the strawberry shortcake is incredible.

As for pricing, the price depends on your seating. Category 1 will get you seating closest to the stage, so your most expensive seats are there. Guests aged ten and older are $74 in Category 1, and guests 3 to 9 are $44. Category 2 pricing is $69 for ages ten and older, and ages 3 to 9 are $40. Finally, Category 3 is $66 for guests ten and older and $39 for guests 3 to 9. Wheelchair-accessible seating is located in Category 1 and 2, as Category 3 is located on the second floor with no elevator access.

The Audience Is Part of The Show

Throughout the show, the Pioneer Hall players – Claire de Lune, Johnny Ringo, Dolly Drew, Six Bits Slocum, Flora Long, and Jim Handy – will come into the dining room and ask for audience participation, allowing you to be involved the entire time.

Plus, YOU may even have the chance to star in the show! Towards the end of the experience, the Pioneer Hall players pull people from the audience to go up on stage and participate in the show’s Davy Crocket portion. Of course, each show has different audience members, making this part of the experience entirely different every single time you dine here. (And yes, children are included in this special segment!)

A One-of-a-Kind Experience

The Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue follows a script that is filled with corny jokes and over-the-top acting, making not only adults laugh but kids as well. With hilarious props and “Dad jokes,” the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue is guaranteed to get the entire family laughing.

But personally, what I find to be the best part of Hoop-Dee-Doo is the experience. Even though the menu, the drinks, and the script for the show are the same every show, each and every time you visit, it will be an entirely new experience – and this is all thanks to the servers and the performers.

The actors seem extremely close, both on and off-stage, making the connection between them all real. Throughout the show, they make each other laugh, sometimes even breaking characters and going off-script, which just makes for an even better and one-of-a-kind experience.

A Rootin’ Tootin’ Time For The Whole Family

Overall, Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue is a fun-filled, two-hour-long dinner show like nothing you have ever experienced. I have dined at Hoop-Dee-Doo more times than I can count, and it never gets old. (Plus, some of my favorite Disney memories are from dining alongside the Pioneer Hall players).

No matter where you sit inside Pioneer Hall (whether it be right up against the stage or up on the balcony) or how much you decide to participate in the show, the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue is perfect for the entire family and will leave you will a full belly and forever lasting memories.
