Heading to EPCOT in 2024? Here are a few things you should keep in mind regarding theme parks changes before planning a visit.

Lovers of the “Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow” have so much to do in the park. 2023 brought the addition of the new Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana walkthrough attraction as well as the opening of the World Celebration Gardens.

But, that’s not the end of the excitement coming to the park. With a new year on the horizon, there are some key dates and experiences that guests should keep in mind when planning a visit in 2024. Keep reading to learn about what’s new in 2024.

CommuniCore Hall and Plaza Will Open in 2024 at EPCOT

World Celebration in EPCOT is now open for guests to enjoy. But not everything in World Celebration is open for guests. One experience announced but not finished is the CommuniCore Hall and Plaza

CommuniCore Hall and Plaza will be the hub of Future World and serve as the festival center for EPCOT. The idea behind the CommuniCore Hall and Plaza is it will be the home base for all festival happenings, such as live events. If you’ve been to an EPCOT festival before, it’s supposed to serve as a newer version of the Festival Pavilion of years ago. Here, you’ll find things like cooking demonstrations, mixology bars, galleries and exhibitions related to the different festivals.

It’ll be located towards the front of the park in World Celebration. For those of you who have been to EPCOT before, picture Connections Cafe and the Creations Shop; the new CommuniCore Hall and Plaza will be located right across the way.

2024 will show us if our beloved festival concerts will be moving from the American Gardens Theater as well. Either way, we’re excited to see how the new CommuniCore Hall and Plaza fit into EPCOT in 2024.

The price of the events range between $149 and $159 depending on the date. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members do receive a discount and can expect to pay between $119 and $129 for their tickets.

EPCOT’s After Hours Event takes place between 10:00 pm and 1:00 am. But, guests can take advantage of their ticket and enter the park as early as 7:00 pm with an After Hours ticket.

What’s included with your After Hours event ticket? For one, guests can ride attractions with lower wait times. That’s right… one of the major perks of an After Hours event is the lower wait times. Guests are also treated to snacks and beverages such as ice cream, popcorn and bottled beverages, for no additional cost.

EPCOT Festivals

One of the most popular reasons people find to visit EPCOT are the festivals. That’s right, EPCOT is home to not one but four festivals during the year. While the festivals are the same each year, the experiences differ throughout the year.

EPCOT’s four festivals include the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival, EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival and EPCOT Festival of the Holiday’s. While the dates of each festival are announced closer to the season, so far for 2024, EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts and EPCOT’s International Flower and Garden Festival have been announced.

Guests visiting EPCOT between January 12th and February 29th, 2024, will get to enjoy unique art and Broadway entertainment at the Festival of the Arts. If you are visiting after February 28, 2024, you’ll be treated to some beautiful topiaries of your favorite Disney characters as well as some unique food choices at the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival.
