We’re adding these new experiences to our wish list! Learn what’s new at EPCOT Festival of the Holidays this year and how to do it all.

With Thanksgiving on the horizon and the holidays upon us, EPCOT is getting ready for the Festival of the Holidays! Beginning on November 25, 2022, the day after Thanksgiving, the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will run until December 30, 2022. 

From Christmas decor around the parks to new food booths, entertainment, and more, the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is an event you won’t want to miss. Learn what’s new at the festival this year and some classic favorites that will be returning. 

New Holiday Kitchens

17 Holiday Kitchens take center stage at the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.

Taste your way around the world for the holiday season with classics like slow-roasted turkey dinners to Kalua Pork, Chicken Skewers, and Linzer Cookies, there is so much to enjoy. This year there are some new additions. 

Nochebuena Cocina Holiday Kitchen

New to the 2022 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is the Nochebuena Cocina Holiday Kitchen.  Celebrating Latin-American heritage, this booth will serve traditional dishes that are typical throughout the holiday season. This booth is set to have three new items to the festival plus two alcoholic beverages: 

  • IMPOSSIBLE Chorizo Tamale with Plant-Based Cotija Cheese and Spicy Red Chile Sauce (Gluten/Wheat Friendly & Plant-Based)
  • Pernil, which is Mojo Pork with Tostones and Ketchup-Mayonnaise (Gluten/Wheat Friendly)
  • Alfajores: Vanilla Shortbread Cookie with Dulce de Leche and Coconut (Part of the Cookie Stroll) 
  • 81Bay Brewing Co. Horchata Beer
  • Chai Ginger Mule featuring Boyd & Blair Potato Vodka 

Holiday Cookie Stroll Additions

A classic holiday adventure awaits with the Holiday Cookie Stroll. When you purchase any five cookies that are deemed official Cookie Stroll cookies and collect the stamps, you can then head to Holiday Sweets and Treats, where you can receive a special prize cookie. 

While we don’t want to spoil the fun of finding the special Cookie Stroll Cookies, we do want to shout out that the new booth, Nochebuena Cocina, is home to one of the cookies on the stroll! 

New: Ride Overlays

Once you’ve had a bite to eat, it’s time to ride! And boy, are you in for a treat during the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. Select rides will feature special holiday overlays. 

Living with the Land- Glimmering Greenhouses 

A fan favorite, Living with the Land, is taking on some holiday cheer! Take a peaceful cruise through Living with the Land- Glimmering Greenhouses, which will feature twinkling holiday light displays. 

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Fans of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind are in luck! From November 25 through December 30, guests will experience an all-new holiday remix, of course with a Guardians twist! Fans love the music that narrates the ride and this year, guests can enjoy a unique mashup song with custom lyrics created by Imagineers. 

New: Experiences and Entertainment

The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is not just food and rides, it offers so much more. Guests can embark on their own adventures and experiences. 

Spaceship Earth

An all-new light show will debut this year at Spaceship Earth. The light display will include snowflakes, northern lights, and candles. 

Santa at the Odyssey

Meet the man of the holidays, Santa himself. From November 25 through December 24, 2022, guests can visit Santa Claus at The Odyssey, located between the borders of Future World (World Celebration) and World Showcase. You’ll get a chance to greet and take a photo with Santa, making the holiday celebration complete. 

Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition

While Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt is a returning favorite, Olaf will have new hiding spots this year around World Showcase. 

Returning Favorites

With all of these new offerings coming, there are some returning favorites that guests love to experience year after year. 

Candlelight Processional 

A Disney Parks tradition, the Candlelight Processional is coming back to the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. Taking place at the America Gardens Theatre, this retelling of a Christmas story is narrated by celebrities and is accompanied by the Voices of Liberty acapella ensemble, a 50-piece orchestra with trumpets and choirs filled with Disney Cast Members. 

You can find celebrity narrators such as Simu Liu, Josh Gad, Marie Osmond, Gloria Estefan and Whoopi Goldberg. To find a full list of dates, times and narrators, click here

Holiday Traditions

Experience how different countries celebrate the holidays as the World Showcase comes to life! Thanks to storytellers, musical acts, and other performers, you’ll experience the holidays around the world. You can expect to find:

  • Las Posadas Celebration featuring Mariachi Cobre at the Mexico Pavilion
  • Canadian Holiday Voyageurs in the Canada Pavilion
  • Hanukkah Storyteller along the Promenade between the Morocco and France Pavilion
  • Other storytellers in France, Italy, Japan, Norway, and the United Kingdom 
  • “JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season” celebrating Kwanzaa and Christmas at the World Showcase Center Plaza 

The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is a great way to kick off the holiday season. From food and drinks to shopping and rides, there is so much to experience when you visit EPCOT this holiday season.
