When you become a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) member, you’ll get the opportunity to enjoy regular vacations at Disney resorts around the world, plus plenty of magical experiences at the theme parks, hotels, and more. But the advantages of DVC membership don’t end with special resort bookings. As a member of Disney Vacation Club, you’ll have access to some amazing perks.

What, exactly, are those perks? From exclusive themed lounges to special After Hours events to discounts, there are so many different types of Disney Vacation Club perks that members can enjoy. We’re highlighting some of the best below.

DVC Members Get Discounts on Park Tickets and Annual Passes

It’s no secret that Disney discounts are hard to come by! However, when you join the Disney Vacation Club, you’ll get access to a selection of discounts that aren’t made widely available for other Guests. And these discounts will help you save money on everything from theme park tickets to special event tickets to Walt Disney World Annual Passes.

Here’s an overview of the discounts available for Disney Vacation Club members on tickets and passes:

• Disney Sorcerer Pass and Incredi-Pass: DVC members and Florida residents can receive a discount on these two particular Walt Disney World Annual Passes (subject to pass availability).
•  Disney After Hours and Party tickets: DVC members can get discounted ticket prices for special events held at Walt Disney World, such as Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom Park and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Your tickets may also allow for earlier event entry, depending on the details of the ticket you purchase.
• Blizzard Beach tickets: DVC members can save $20 on the purchase of Blizzard Beach tickets.

Score Access to Exclusive DVC Member Lounges

We’ve all had those Disney days: It’s hot, you’re tired, and you just want some water, a place to rest your feet, and air conditioning! Well, one cool Disney Vacation Club member perk is access to a space that provides exactly that. At EPCOT, DVC members can access to an exclusive lounge with air conditioning, unlimited fountain drinks and water, and snacks! 

Located in the Imagination Pavilion, guests can check-in by the exit of Figment and head up the stairs to the DVC Lounge. Aside from offering a nice break, snacks and drinks, it also offers amazing views of EPCOT through the glass ceiling. 

In addition to the EPCOT Lounge, there’s also a lounge at the top of Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Called the Top of the World Lounge, guests can see a bird’s eye view of the Magic Kingdom area. Right now this lounge is called Top of the World Lounge- A Villain’s Lair and themed after the wicked themselves. 

Save on Merchandise and Food as a Disney Vacation Club Member

If you love indulging in delicious meals and snacks when you hit the theme parks and resorts or can’t resist the latest merch, you’ll find that one of the best DVC membership perks is the discount on food and merchandise. By simply showing proof of membership, DVC members receive 10 to 20 percent off dining and merchandise – and those savings are available throughout Wlat Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, all theme parks, Disney Springs and the Downtown Disney District. 

And sometimes, the Disney Vacation Club membership discount on merch and food gets even better! These will occasionally be increased for special events or during certain times of the year. So, be sure to be on the lookout for any increased discounts before each park or resort visit.

Attend Members-Only Events Just for the Disney Vacation Club

Sure, Disney After Hours events are plenty of fun – but if you’re a Disney Vacation Club member, one of your perks is access to special after-hours events that are closed to the general public. That means you get to enjoy all that different Disney theme parks have to offer, with fewer crowds, shorter wait times, and plenty of exclusive DVC offerings (like special character sightings, snacks and treats, and merch!).

Moonlight Magic events take place at different theme parks throughout the year, solely for DVC members and their guests. Only DVC members can purchase tickets to Moonlight Magic events. You can catch these at Disney California Adventure Park, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, and Typhoon Lagoon, for example.

And DVC members can bring additional Guests if they’re attending a Moonlight Magic event! You can register for yourself and up to four additional Guests per Disney Vacation Club membership.

How to Utilize Your Disney Vacation Club Membership Perks

Wondering how you’ll be able to take advantage of all of your perks as a Disney Vacation Club member? Well, there are two ways to show you’re a member when you want to utilize a particular perk.

While DVC no longer issues physical cards as proof of membership, Guests can access their benefit tier and proof of membership on their phones now. You can log into the My Disney Experience app and go through the steps to set up a new pass within the Disney MagicMobile tile. This will allow you to customize your digital DVC membership card and add it to your wallet so it’s available any time you need it.

When it comes to booking tickets and other experiences online, you can log into your My DVC account on the Disney Vacation Club website. This is also where you’ll find plenty of information about other perks, from discounted rates on tours and tickets to dining deals and merch discounts.
