Did you know that you can end each evening aboard the Disney Wish by watching the magical “Kiss Goodnight”? That’s right – this Disney Cruise Line ship is the only ship that features the Kiss Goodnight, and it is guaranteed to bring happy tears to your eyes every single time.
There is so much magic onboard the Disney Cruise Line ships, including the most recent ship of the fleet, the Disney Wish. And while you may know about fun activities onboard the Wish such as the AquaMouse, the Frozen-themed Arendelle restaurant, and Hook’s Barbery, you may not have known that the ship is home to a rather unique experience at sea. While visitors to the Disney Parks may be familiar with the “Kiss Goodnight” that occurs nightly at Magic Kingdom, the Disney Wish does its own take on the beloved event.
What Is the Disney Wish’s Kiss Goodnight?
Occurring every evening at 10 PM., 11 PM., and 12 AM, Guests can gather in the lobby atrium where they will hear Cinderella’s classic song, “So This Is Love,” beautifully sung by Ilene Woods. Lights will then illuminate the ceiling along with the music.
The iconic chandelier will twinkle overhead as Guests watch up in amazement. The entire atrium brings in shades of blue and white, fit perfectly for Cinderella, which also provides a soothing atmosphere as they change to the music.
But when the clock strikes “midnight”, Guests will hear the chimes to bring the feel that the night has come to an end. Cinderella’s voice then comes over the speakers as says it is almost midnight. The lights continue to light up the walls and ceiling, as the music then fades out.
Although this is a very short experience, it is one of the most magical experiences aboard the Disney Wish. You can check it out in our video below!
Other Entertainment Offerings On the Disney Wish
The Disney Wish debuted two new shows on its ship when it hit the high seas — Disney Seas the Adventure, featuring Goofy as he discovers his own inner captain thanks to the help of Captain Minnie, and Disney The Little Mermaid, a modern and innovative take on a young girl learning the power of her voice. These two new Broadway-style shows have joined Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular, which can also be found on other Disney Cruise Line ships.
Plus, Disney’s first-ever attraction at sea can be found on the Disney Wish! On board this ship, you can experience an attraction that’s got all the same excitement and magic as the kinds of attractions you’d find in the theme parks! The AquaMouse takes Guests on an at-sea adventure in the form of a thrilling water ride, complete with Disney cartoons. This fun family adventure consists of 760 feet of tubes suspended above the decks of the Disney Wish. You’ll literally ride over the open sea – and the ship below!
When Guests first board the AquaMouse, they will climb onto a raft – which can either be a two-seater, allowing you to experience the attraction with a close friend, or you can ride solo. You will get one of two storylines: the Scuba Scramble or the Swiss Meltdown! (The experience you receive is completely random).
