What’s New?

New Disney vacation promotion.  Disney recently announced a new promotion. Save up to 25% on rooms through August 31st. As always there are a few restrictions that apply, but a discount is always nice.  Click here for the full story.

Water Park FastPass?  Disney World is in the testing phase of a modified FastPass system for the rides at Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. The tests are reported to continue throughout this month and are not linked to the Magic Band or My Disney Experience app. If you will be there during this testing phase, we’d love to hear about your experience.  Click here for the full story.

Security changes at the Magic Kingdom.  Security is changing at Disney. They are moving some of the metal detectors outside of the Magic Kingdom to the Transportation and Ticket Center. Theoretically, this will cut down on the traffic jam that always clogs the entrance. The resorts on the monorail line will also have security set up before guests’ board. This will eliminate the need of having to go through bag check at the entrance. However, anyone arriving by resort buses will still need to go through security measures at the front of the theme park.  Click here for the full story.

MDE relaunch is here.  My Disney Experience has relaunched their app to make it more accessible and easier to use. There’s a new “My Resort Dashboard” for guests who are staying on property that includes reservation information, directions, and a direct link to the Resort Front Desk. If you don’t like change, this new version is going to drive you a little nuts. Everything has been remodified.  Click here for the full story.

Na’vi Translator coming to Pandora. If you really want to immerse yourself in the world of Pandora, set your eyes on the Na’vi Translator. Coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in May, the translator helps you learn how to pronounce 90 Na’vi words. The Translator Device will sell for $19.99 which includes 15 cards. Additional cards will be sold separately for $6.99 each. This sounds like a neat way to get guests interacting with each other at the parks!  Click here for the full story.
