If you’re a lover of trendy fall flavors like pumpkin spice and apple pie, then you might want to race over to Vivoli il Gelato at Disney Springs before these seasonal sweet treats are gone!

Last week we were invited to Vivoli il Gelato at Disney Springs to get a peek at their three seasonal fall specials for the month of September. We even got to pick one of the specials to try.

History of Vivoli il Gelato

The Vivoli family has been serving up delicious gelato in Florence, Italy since 1932. The shop was an instant success and became a very popular spot for tourists to enjoy a cold ice cream in the summer. The business has undergone many changes throughout the decades, however, it still remains in the hands of Vivoli family to this day.

In 2015, the Vivoli family opened up its second storefront right in the heart of Disney Springs in sunny Orlando, Florida. That’s right. The Disney Springs location is one of two Vivoli storefronts in the entire world. It’s even decorated similarly to the original shop in Florence.

What makes this gelato shop special is that they make everything in house. The restaurant specializes in hand-crafted gelato, sorbetto, coffee, treats, and more.

Seasonal Fall Specials for September

Here’s a look at the three seasonal treats you can get this month! Prices for these treats range from $8 to $15.

Apple Pie Bombolato: Apple sorbetto, caramel sauce, and graham cracker crumbs, pressed inside a warm Italian doughnut.

Pumpkin Mudslide Shake: Pumpkin and tiramisu gelato, milk, and chocolate sauce, topped with a waffle cone and whipped cream (non-alcoholic).

Leaning Tower of Doughnuts: Two scoops of gelato (your choice) sandwiched inside a doughnut, stacked with doughnut holes, and topped with chocolate sauce and whipped cream.

This was my first time trying anything from Vivoli il Gelato and all I can say is WOW. I chose to try the Pumpkin Mudslide Shake. I usually shy away from anything pumpkin spice flavored (I’m more of a peppermint gal) but I wanted to try something out of my comfort zone. The tiramisu gelato was the stronger flavor here, but you definitely get a hint of the pumpkin spice. And it’s just the right amount.

Despite how delicious it was, it was such a large portion that I couldn’t finish the whole thing. I’d recommend sharing, especially if you plan on walking around Disney Springs right afterward.

Since we were only provided one item to try, I wasn’t able to try the other two. But based on the positive reactions of the other event attendees, I’d say they are also great choices.

The seasonal specials typically change monthly so make sure you stop by Vivoli il Gelato before September ends.

Thank you to Vivoli il Gelato for inviting us to attend this gelato tasting, and for providing us with a complimentary dessert.
