I am not a makeup artist, but you don’t have to be a pro to create some pretty epic looks this Halloween season.
Like many makeup enthusiasts, I learned how to do my makeup on YouTube. Once I started watching makeup tutorials, I realized how much easier it is to do bold looks.
This Hades-inspired makeup tutorial might look complex, but I promise you, it is a lot easier than you think. Check out the entire tutorial here or on our YouTube channel.
You can also get my makeup tutorials for Ursula, Jack Skellington, and Maleficent.
The Products I Used
You don’t have to use the exact products that I used in my DIY Hades makeup tutorial video, but if you’re just starting to build your makeup kit, or you really like a specific shade that I used, then check out this complete list of all the products I used in the video.
Fade Into Hue Palette from Colourpop
This palette has every color you could ever need to create bright, bold, and sparkly looks! Colourpop is one of my favorite makeup brands because they offer great-quality products as low prices.
Price: $34

I also used a black shadow from Colourpop to fill in the dark flames under my eyes.

Lipstick and Lip Liner
The lipstick and lip liner that I used are currently unavailable online. However, I found some great alternatives to these products. You can find a long-lasting black lip liner from KVD Beauty that glides on smoothly on your lips.
Price: $25

I also found this black lipstick from Morphe. Morphe is another brand that offers great products at great prices. I have a few of their lipsticks, and they are durable and long-lasting.
Price: $10

Blush
I used a blush palette from Natasha Denona, which is no longer available online; however, I found this blush set that is close shade to the one that I used from the same brand.
Price: $26

Holographic Highlight
I used a highlight stick from Milk Cosmetics in the color Supernova.
It is a lilac shade, but depending on how you catch the light, it can appear blue, which I think is perfect for Hades.
Price: $37

Eyeliner and False Lashes
I find these products very specific for each person. The same way I have a favorite mascara, I have a favorite brand of falsies and eye liner.
The liquid liner that works best for me is from Rimmel London, and is called Wonder Ink Eyeliner.
This is a drugstore brand and can be found at your local Walgreens or Walmart. I always buy this liner when it’s on sale, which means I never pay more than $10 for this fantastic liner.
For fake lashes, my favorite brand is Anastasia Beverly Hills. It’s a brand you can find at Sephora, and they offer natural-looking lashes to big and bold caterpillar lashes. It all depends on what look you’re trying to achieve.
I always wear the Anastasia Beverly Hills lashes that are called Eleganza because I think they are the perfect blend of natural but also bold.
