With Disney World resorts reopening today, we’re starting to get some of our first glimpses of the changes that resort guests can expect on their next visit.
Disney World Resorts Reopening Videos
The locations open today are just a select few Disney Vacation Club resorts, welcoming guests to enjoy luxury with just a little bit of eeriness in the oh-so-empty hallways. Here are just a few of those resorts that reopened today… scroll to the bottom to see OUR FIRST look at Mickey Mouse at Walt Disney World since the park closures!
Your First Look at Mickey!
One of our favorite YouTubers, Prince Charming Dev, stopped by Topolino’s Terrace to experience socially-distanced dining at its best.
And he ran into some old friends! Dev’s video is the first look that YouTube has seen of Mickey Mouse at Walt Disney World since the parks and resorts closed. We are so happy to see our old friend!
Heya Pal! Dev also takes you through the Riviera Resort and talks about the process of ordering breakfast.
I just need to pull this part out of the video to show you Dev’s face after seeing Mickey:
“Seeing Mickey Mouse for the first time in four months? It was everything I needed.”
Disney’s Polynesian Resort
4K WDW was on-hand today at Disney’s Polynesian Resort and has a little tour for those of you who want to see what the Poly looks like with COVID-19 outbreak safety protocols in place.
Highlights include an almost empty lobby, signage to remind guests of procedures, and yes, an individually-wrapped TV remote.
Disney’s Beach Club and BoardWalk Resorts
Here with the Ears walks us past masked Cast Members to, let’s admit it, see if Beaches and Cream is open for business! 🍨🍦
We’ll see a sneeze-guard in front of the hostess, and the QR code that you’ll need to scan to view the menu (Disney has opted for digital menus instead of disposable ones. Joe Rohde is somewhere smiling about that).
Are these videos giving you a sense of what to expect on your next visit to the Walt Disney World resorts?
