There are over 25 resorts at Walt Disney World to choose from, but some get more love than others. Here are our top three underrated Disney World resorts that you should definitely check out on your next trip!

3. All-Star Sports Resort

I feel like All-Star Sports Resort is one of the most underrated Disney World resorts out there.

When I decided to stay here on my trip to Disney World last year, I wasn’t super thrilled, but the price was too reasonable to beat. I figured it wouldn’t be a problem since I didn’t plan to spend much time at the hotel anyway.

I quickly realized this resort actually has so much to offer!

All-Star Sports was the first value resort on property. It consists of 10 buildings that feature five larger-than-life sports icons.

Two of my favorite things about this resort are the two full-size heated pools and the End Zone Food Court.

The heated pools are perfect for a relaxing no-park day or after a long day at one of the parks.

Plus, the End Zone Food Court has everything from classic Mickey waffles to unique desserts. I mean, this is the only place on property you can get edible cookie dough, so what’s not to love?

This resort is perfect if you’re looking for an affordable option.

2. Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds

To start, you’re able to either camp in an actual tent or RV (if you bring your own) at one of the 799 campsites, or you can choose to stay in one of the 409 cozy cabins.

I feel like the camping aspect makes the resort overlooked since it isn’t your typical hotel room, but I think that’s what makes it so special.

What I love most about the resort is all of the activities. There’s something for every age here.

Did you know the resort is actually made up of over 700 acres of land? So it’s no surprise there is so much to do here.

I’ve been to the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue, which is a ticketed dinner show at the resort. This comes with a homestyle comfort food meal, and adults 21+ can get unlimited alcoholic beverages included with the ticket.

This is enjoyable for all ages, but I think adults would definitely appreciate it more.

If you’re traveling with kids, this resort would be a great option.

They can enjoy pony and wagon rides, fishing, playgrounds, and swimming.

Plus, there’s the Chip ‘N’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long every night. You get to roast marshmallows and sing songs with your two favorite chipmunks, and it’s all followed by an outdoor movie screening.

These are just a handful of the offered activities, but I have to mention the golf carts! You can rent golf carts and explore the resort on them, how fun is that?

Whether you want a unique rustic getaway during your next Disney trip or want a camping adventure, this is definitely the resort for you!

1. All-Star Movies Resort

Alright, so coming in at number one for the most underrated Disney World Resort is All-Star Movies.

This resort is full of the classic Disney touches you’d expect to see at a hotel on property.

Since it is one of the budget-friendly options, this hotel seems to get overlooked and can get a reputation for being too “kid-like.” However, I can confidently say that’s not the case at all.

I stayed at this resort at the end of my Disney College Program and enjoyed it a lot!

All-Star Movies is made up of 10 buildings with five themes, just like All-Star Sports. When I stayed here, I was in the Fantasia section, which was really neat.

There is also a Fantasia-themed pool, where Sorcerer Mickey sprays water.

One of the coolest things this resort has to offer is the nighttime movie under the stars.

Each night the resort will play a movie outside, which is open for anyone to watch. I don’t know about you, but that sounds like the perfect way to unwind after a day at the parks.

If you want a budget-friendly hotel during your next vacation, but still want all of the classic Disney charm we love, I would recommend All-Star Movies.

Next time you’re booking a trip to Disney World, consider one of these underrated Disney World resorts. From movie night to campfire sing-a-longs to unique desserts, all of these resorts have something exciting to offer for everyone!
