Tusker House will officially reopen on June 20, 2021 at Animal Kingdom with several modifications, but a safari-themed experience remains. Updated June 2, 2021

Tusker House, the only character dining experience at Animal Kingdom, will once again open to guests again this summer, the Disney Parks Blog shared on Instagram on June 2.

The Table Service spot has been closed since Walt Disney World (WDW) temporarily shutdown in March 2020 due to the pandemic.

But, it will once again be back in business come June 20! Here’s everything you need to know, including when to make reservations.

As previously announced, Tusker House will begin welcoming guests starting June 20, but you can begin booking reservations on June 4.

Make sure you mark your calendars, because dining reservations go fast. Remember, you can make dining reservations up to 60 days in advance.

Breakfast is priced at $42 per adult and $27 per child, plus tax and gratuity. Lunch and dinner are priced at $55 per adult and $42 per child, plus tax and gratuity.

Menus are posted online and in the My Disney Experience app. Here are just a few of the African-inspired dishes that will be available:

  • Breakfast: Safari Bread, Mickey and Simba Waffles, Durban Chicken, and Egg Curry with Jasmine Rice
  • Lunch and Dinner: Moroccan Spiced Beef, Berber Marinated Pork, Spit Roasted Herb Chicken, and Cape Malay Green Curry Shrimp
  • Other options for kids: Fruit and yogurt for breakfast and macaroni and cheese for lunch and dinner

Due to health and safety protocols, a buffet won’t be featured, but diners will enjoy family-style service.

When it comes to meeting characters in a socially-distant way, guests will see Safari Donald, along with friends, like Mickey, Goofy, and Daisy.

WDW continues to reopen more dining locations, including a new ice cream place at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort and two other Table Service spots at Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

Chef Mickey’s Dinner (like Chef Mickey’s Breakfast) at the Contemporary reopened on May 16. You can safely meet Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, Minnie, and Donald here.

Cape May Café reopened on May 18 at Beach Club, but without Minnie’s Beach Bash Character Breakfast and the Seafood-and-More Dinner Buffet.

The Beach Club restaurant offers an all-you-care-to-enjoy family-style breakfast, along with a dinner that offers a seafood boil, The Turf Platter with steak and chicken, and more.

Just like with the reopening of Festival of the Lion King, the return of Tusker House is certainly a nice addition to Animal Kingdom.
