Villains welcome. The Top of the World Lounge reopening is scheduled for July 11, but it looks like some Disney baddies may have beat us to it.
Well, well, well. What do we have here? It appears that while one of our favorite Disney Vacation Club (DVC) hangouts was closed, a crew of notorious villains moved in.
While they’re long gone now, their presence can still be felt in the artifacts they left behind.
So what exactly is Top of the World Lounge – A Villains Lair and, most importantly, what’s on the new Villain-inspired menu? Keep reading.
What Is Top of the World Lounge – A Villains Lair?

Welcome to “a place of magic… with a touch of tragic.” While Top of the World was temporarily closed to DVC members, it was inhabited by a group of Disney villains. Swapping sinister stories, toasting to tales of terrorizing the innocent … you know, just villain-y things.
As the story goes, when Imagineers recently returned to the lounge, they found accessories and portraits left behind by these dastardly villains. Not only that, they also discovered recipes for some “fiendish fare.” So, what did Imagineers decide to do? They decided to roll with it. Thus, the idea for Top of the World Lounge – A Villains Lair was born.
When Is Top of the World Lounge Reopening?

Contemporary Resort’s Top of the World Lounge will reopen as Top of the World Lounge – A Villains Lair on July 11 for eligible DVC members. The Lounge will be open from 6 PM to midnight daily (check-in time starts at 5:45 PM).
How Do I Know If I’m Eligible?

“Ownership interests must be purchased directly from Disney Vacation Club Development, Inc. in order to have access to this offer. These options are part of Membership Extras, which are incidental benefits subject to availability, change or termination. Access to Top of the World Lounge requires a valid photo ID, digital Disney Vacation Club Membership Card and Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation.”
