2022 Traditional Spicy Vietnamese Beef Pho Review
- Traditional Spicy Vietnamese Beef Pho; $5.50
- 🙂 Gluten/Wheat-friendly
- With shaved beef, mushrooms, and Thai basil
“In 2022, we thought this bowl of noodles was much less spicy than the Tofu Pho on the menu! Despite the name, it was fairly mild, even for someone like me who can’t take a lot of spice. They are generous with the meat and veggie… well, and the noodles, too! This is more of a meal than a snack, so if you’re looking to eat a lot around the world, definitely get someone to help you try this dish. talk about bang for your buck—it’s very filling!”
“This dish was CRAZY spicy! I think it may have been the jalapenos on top of the sriracha that put it over the edge. The flavors were good, if you could get past the spice.”
2022 Chinese Char Siu Pork Udon Review
- Chinese Char Siu Pork Udon; $5.50
-
- With mushrooms, bok choy, and soy pickled egg
Communications Director, Tatjana Lazar: “Absolutely my fav dish at the festival! Sooo tasty I finished the whole bowl of hot soup despite the Florida sun beating down on me.”
Reporter, Tina Chiu: “This was the winner of the booth. The broth was on the sweeter side compared to the other two and the pork was super tender.”

2022 Shrimp Pho Review
- Shrimp Pho; $6.25
- Shrimp coconut curry with rice noodles
Reporter, Tina Chiu: “I enjoyed the shrimp and coconut flavor but it was another dish that had a kick of spice.”
Communications Director, Tatjana Lazar: “I didn’t find the Shrimp and coconut flavors to be well balanced by other spices or herbs. It just had a very “shimpy, coconutty” flavor with not much else.”
2022 Tofu Pho Review
- Tofu Pho; $5.50
- 🙂 Gluten/Wheat-friendly
- 🥬 Plant-based
- With mushrooms and Thai basil
“With so many different elements in the bowl, this noodle dish was more than a Food and Wine snack.. it’s easily a meal! The tofu chunks were large and plentiful, and the mushrooms gave this not only a cute visual element but were a delicious compliment to the broth. This dish is not advertised as spicy, but there is a bit of spiciness to it, so keep that in mind when ordering.”
