The Best Snacks at Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Ranked

by | Jan 11, 2024 | Animal Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World Food, WDW Blog

The next time a snack craving strikes, you’re going to want to grab one of these treats! We’ve rounded up the best snacks at Disney World across all four theme parks.

Overwhelmed with which iconic Disney snacks to try during your next visit to Disney World’s theme parks? We’ve got you covered! I’ve complied the best snacks at Disney World, from my personal favorites to must-try food items located throughout Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom –– and ranked them based on how delicious and satisfying each one is to eat.

1. Dole Whip

Where to Find This Disney World Snack: Multiple locations across the theme parks

Is it even a trip to Disney World if you don’t enjoy the iconic Dole Whip? Refreshing, cool, and wonderfully sweet with a tropical flavor, it’s as much a staple in the parks as popcorn (more on that later). My personal favorite is the traditional pineapple Dole Whip, which can be found at multiple theme parks. Other classic flavors include orange, strawberry, and lemon.

However, throughout the year, the Disney World theme parks also offer specialty Dole Whips, including the Maleficent Dole Whip – Dole Whip Lime swirled into a black waffle cone, topped with purple sugar, typically found at Storybook Treats across from Seven Dwarfs Mine TrainAnother popular specialty version is the Rapunzel Sundae, which can also be found at Storybook Treats. This specially-themed sundae features shortcake with Dole Whip Lemon and Wild Berry soft-serve, topped with berry compote and adorable sugar flowers.

Because these specialty Dole Whips change throughout the year, be sure to ask a Cast Member which specialty Dole Whips are offered during your vacation and where to find them. Or, check the My Disney Experience app for the latest menus everywhere Dole Whips are offered!

2. Waffle Sandwich

Where to Find This Disney World Snack: Sleepy Hollow, Magic Kingdom Park

Hands down, this is one of my favorite snacks to get at Disney World. The next time you’re at Magic Kingdom, you’ve got to grab a waffle sandwich. There are different versions available at different times of the day – for example, you can grab the Sweet-and-Spicy Chicken-Waffle Sandwich for lunch or dinner, or try the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich for breakfast.

My personal favorite is the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich, which is made with chocolate hazelnut spread and a mix of fresh fruit that makes for a perfect breakfast or late night dessert!

3. Pretzel

No, I’m not talking about Mickey-shaped pretzels (though those are one of the most popular snack choices). I’m talking about a perfectly regular ol’ pretzel-shaped pretzel – one that’s salty and freshly baked.

If you’re in the mood for a pretzel, skip the iconic Mickey version and head over to Baseline Tap House in Disney’s Hollywood Studios instead. The pretzels you’ll find here are 10 times better than the Mickey pretzels you’ll find at the snack stands scattered throughout the parks. Plus, it comes with a beer cheese dipping sauce (my mouth is drooling just thinking about it!). Baseline Tap House also serves far fresher pretzels, making them much more satisfying for the price.

4. Churros

Where to Find This Disney World Snack: Nomad Lounge, Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Like the pretzels, if you’re looking for the best churro in all of Disney World’s theme parks, you’re going to want to skip the snack stands. Instead, head over to Nomad Lounge in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Not only are these churros much fresher than the ones sitting at the snack stands (which can become stale very quickly), but they’re also super crispy and covered with cinnamon sugar – I mean, completely doused in cinnamon sugar!

The churros at Nomad Lounge also come with two dipping sauces: a Vanilla Crema and a Strawberry-Guava Sauce. If you’re looking for one of the best snacks at Disney World, this is the churro choice that really delivers.

5. Grilled Corn on the Cob

Where to Find This Disney World Snack: Harambe Fruit Market, Disney’s Animal Kingdom

I think about this one on the daily (I’m not joking!). The grilled corn on the cob from Harambe Market at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is like no other corn on the cob.

It’s one particular detail that makes this particular corn on the cob one of the best Disney World snacks. The seasoning you can get on the corn is so unique it truly makes the snack stand out. You can opt to have your corn with African spices, which are similar to a curry-inspired flavor profile. Or, if you’re not a fan of curry, you can also get this corn on the cob with just butter (or totally plain).

Regardless of your preference, this corn on the cob will be the best you’ve ever had. I promise!

6. Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar or Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich

Where to Find This Disney World Snack: Snack carts and stands, all theme parks

The iconic Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar and the Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich are both equally delicious, so it’s hard to choose between the two snacks. Plus, they’re pretty similar to one another, which is why I’m putting them in the same category.

The Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar consists of vanilla ice cream with a chocolate shell, while the Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich consists of vanilla ice cream sandwiched between two chocolate wafer cookies. No matter which you choose, you’re getting a cool and creamy sweet treat that’s perfectly satisfying any day of the year. As an added bonus, both of these offerings can be found pretty much everywhere; you’ll spot them at snack stands across Walt Disney World property.

7. Cinnamon Roll

Where to Find This Disney World Snack: Gaston’s Tavern, Magic Kingdom Park

If you have a sweet tooth like me, head over to Gaston’s Tavern in Magic Kingdom and grab yourself a cinnamon roll. Not only are these fresh and warm like they’re right out of the oven, but they’ll also make your mouth water just by looking at them.

Pro tip: Ask for extra icing! It’ll take your warm cinnamon roll to the next level and really put it on your own best snacks at Disney World list.

8. Cheeseburger Spring Rolls

Where to Find This Disney World Snack: Adventureland, Magic Kingdom Park

While these are not my personal favorite, everyone absolutely loves them – which is why I had to include them! Served warm and freshly made for the ultimate crispiness, these rolls are served as a pair, making for a decently satisfying snack. They taste like a cheeseburger all wrapped up in a convenient, easy-to-hold bundle that you can enjoy on the go as you wander around Adventureland.

9. Popcorn

Although the popcorn sold throughout Disney World’s theme parks is basically just Pop Secret popcorn, it’s still one of the best snacks. Disney makes it in a way I can never replicate at home, which is why it’s a favorite. It’s served warm, with just the right balance of salty, buttery flavor.

Disney’s popcorn can be found at popcorn carts across the parks. Plus, as an added perk, most carts also offer the option of buying a popcorn bucket, which will save you money on refills (and who doesn’t love the ever-changing lineup of cool themed popcorn buckets?!).

10. Jumbo Pretzel

Where to Find This Disney World Snack: Germany Pavilion, EPCOT

Again, don’t waste your money on an ordinary Mickey pretzel! If you want a good pretzel, but one that’s bigger than those offered at Baseline Tap House, head to the Germany Pavilion in EPCOT. Not only are these pretzels massive, but they’re also authentic to the ones in Germany – meaning they’re delicious!

This is one of the best snacks in Disney World if you’re looking to share a bite or get good bang for your buck, too.

11. Croque Glacé

Where to Find This Disney World Snack: L’Artisan des Glaces, France Pavilion, EPCOT

Do you like authentic ice cream? Do you like homemade Brioche buns? Get the best of both worlds by ordering the Croque Glacé from L’Artisan des Glaces in the France Pavilion at EPCOT.

This sweet treat features your choice of ice cream pressed into warm homemade brioche bread, making for a unique, yet delicious ice cream sandwich. If you’re looking for something that’s a bit fancier than your average Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich or simply want a fresh, fun way to enjoy a creamy, cool treat, this is it!

12. Funnel Cake

Where to Find This Disney World Snack: American Adventure Pavilion, EPCOT

Who doesn’t love a good funnel cake? The best funnel cake on Disney World property can be found in the American Adventure Pavilion at EPCOT. Made fresh to order, these funnel cakes come out piping hot. Plus, you can get creative by choosing your own toppings!

During EPCOT’s yearly festivals, you can also find special limited-time offerings that make for some exciting funnel cake choices. For example, during the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, the Crazy Chocolate Funnel Cake Sandwich will be added to the menu as a mini sandwich version of the classic topped with ice cream, rainbow whipped cream, and strawberry sauce.

13. Totchos

Where to Find This Disney World Snack: Woody’s Lunchbox, Toy Story Land, Disney’s Hollywood Studios

If you’re a kid at heart and love tater tots, you have to visit Woody’s Lunchbox at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Totchos on the menu here are one of the best snacks at Disney World and the best within Toy Story Land itself. They’re a must-try!

This snack includes traditional tater tots, topped with chili, cheese, sour cream, and green onions. Personally, I prefer it without the chili (but I’m not a huge fan of chili to begin with). Regardless, these are well worth ordering the next time you visit Hollywood Studios.

14. Disney-Themed Cupcakes

Now, just because these are last on my list doesn’t mean they’re bad whatsoever! In fact, there are many Disney snacks (I’m looking at you, Mickey pretzel) that didn’t make this list – and Disney-themed cupcakes are simply the last on the list of the very best snack choices.

Disney-themed cupcakes can be found across the Disney World theme parks (and the resorts, too), and each location offers unique flavors and designs. Not only are these cupcakes moist, but the frosting is also absolutely to die for! You have to try a Disney cupcake before your vacation ends – no questions asked. When you see one on the menu of your favorite quick-service spot, make sure to order it!
