Get ready for a new signature dining experience at Japan’s pavilion in the World Showcase – Takumi-Tei is set to open later this summer!

The new table-service restaurant draws inspiration from the nature of Japan. Takumi-Tei means house of the artisan. According to the Disney Parks Blog, the restaurant will celebrate the relationship between Japanese craftsmanship and the natural world, while the food is inspired by the wonderful collaboration between nature and takumi, the artisan.

Takumi-Tei Menu

The highlight of the new menu will be the Wagyu beef. Guests can also choose to experience a multi-course tasting menu, complete with a traditional Japanese tea service. The menu will also include signature cocktails, premium sake, wine, and craft beer.

The Disney Parks blog says “the new restaurant will add to the rich tapestry of cultural experiences available to guests in World Showcase.”

Takumi-Tei will be operated by Mitsukoshi USA, the company that operates the merchandise, restaurants (Teppan Edo and Tokyo Dining), and kiosks in the Japan pavilion. No specific date is set for the opening of the new dining experience yet.
