TRON Lightcycle / Run is Welcoming Riders Starting March 20, 2023
Starting on Monday, March 20, 2023, you’ll want to head to Tomorrowland right after rope drop if you’re visiting Magic Kingdom Park. TRON Lightcycle / Run will begin a soft opening before the attraction officially opens to all Guests on this date, meaning you could score the opportunity to be one of its first riders.
TRON Lightcycle / Run will be open during regular theme park hours, though its operation will be limited. During this soft open, Guests will be able to enter the attraction via two methods in the My Disney Experience app:
- Virtual queue: You can join a virtual queue once per day during the soft open period
- Individual Lightning Lane: You can purchase an individual Lightning Lane entry for the ride
Only Guests who have a valid theme park admission and a theme park reservation will be able to join the TRON Lightcycle / Run virtual queue. Throughout the duration of the soft open, there may be two daily opportunities to request to join this queue – one at 7:00 AM and one at 1:00 PM.
While you don’t have to be physically present inside Magic Kingdom Park to join the 7:00 AM queue, you will need to have a theme park reservation. If you’re hoping to join the 1:00 PM queue, you will need to be inside Magic Kingdom Park.
Jump on This Limited-Time Opportunity ASAP!
If you’re ready to enter The Grid and ride TRON Lightcycle / Run, now’s your chance! On Monday, March 20, 2023 you can open the My Disney Experience app and try your hand at securing a spot in the virtual queue for the attraction’s soft opening.
If you want to be certain to score a spot, you may want to pay for an individual Lightning Lane entry. Keep in mind, though, that prices can vary for individual Lightning Lane entry – and the price does increase when demand is high.
Additionally, it’s important to note that access to TRON Lightcycle / Run isn’t guaranteed during the soft open. Even if you’re able to enter the queue, the ride may unexpectedly close or change its operating hours for the day. The best way to stay informed is to keep a close eye on the My Disney Experience app for the latest details.
