by | Nov 14, 2023 | News Outside the Parks

Disney has revealed the first concept art for home designs that will be available as part of the first Storyliving by Disney Community, Cotino.

Storyliving by Disney was initially announced in early 2022 as a plan to develop communities that utilize Disney Imagineering. The first of the planned communities is a development for the Cotino community, which is located in Rancho Mirage, California. This year Disney has revealed the initial homebuilders as well as concept art for the upcoming community. And now, we have our first look at the concept art for some of the brand-new home designs that will be part of the first Storyliving by Disney community, Cotino

First Storyliving by Disney Home Designs Revealed

Disney has shared initial home designs for some of the homes that will be coming to the new community. The designs have been shared as part of Cotino’s pre-sales launch, where interested homebuyers can learn more about becoming residents. The first of the homes will be built by Shea Homes with floorplans available only in the Cotino community. The designs will include spacious kitchens, large dining rooms, and open floorplans.

The homes will fall within four different design collections: Cotino Coachella Collection, Cotino Agrarian Collection, Cotino Oasis Collection and Cotino Aspiron Collection. Each of the names represents the landscape and history of the Palm Springs area. The area was chosen and inspired by Walt and Lillian Disney’s love of the area.

“It seems fitting that Cotino, the first Storyliving by Disney community, would have a similar setting as the one that Walt loved so much,” said Walt Disney Archives Director Becky Cline. “Walt enjoyed the Palm Springs area as a creative, rejuvenating retreat and our hope is that it will inspire future homeowners and guests just like it did him.

The Artisan Club

The upcoming Cotino community will also offer a voluntary Artisan Club with amenities and experiences like a restaurant, pool, waterfront bar and activity area, and pickleball and tennis courts. Club members will be able to enjoy Cotino Bay, with access to kayaks and paddle boards. The club will also be home to a one-of-a-kind Parr House, designed to look like the Parr family home Incredibles 2.

Those interested in the Cotino community can make a pre-sales appointment. You can find more information on the Story of Cotino website.
