Disney has shared a new look at the Steamboat Willie splash pad that will be available to guests at the upcoming The Villas at Disneyland Hotel.
We’re getting closer and closer to the opening of The Villas at Disneyland Hotel. The new Disney Vacation Club property will open later this year on September 28th. Ahead of the opening, Disney has been sharing more and more previews of what guests can expect from the upcoming villas. Previously, we’ve seen concept images of what the different types of villas and the lobby will look like. Now, we have a new look at the pool for The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, along with the accompanying themed splash pad!

Steamboat Willie Splash Pad at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel
The Villas at Disneyland Hotel will feature a Palette Pool area, which will include the Palette Pool, the Palm Breeze Bar, and a new Steamboat WIllie-themed splash pad! The large grayscale model of the boat from the iconic Steamboat Willie will come to life with special water effects, including a waterfall coming down from above. Of course, the boat is helmed by Mickey Mouse himself!
But the splash pad isn’t just for use during the day. The splash pad will transform from black and white to vivid colors at night thanks to some imaginative lighting!
Nearby, you can check out the Palm Breeze Bar, an outdoor venue with decor inspired by the artistry of Disney Legend Mary Blair. Her unique style inspired quite a few Disney films, and you will recognize her designs from “it’s a small world” and the murals in the Grand Canyon Concourse at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
