The tucked-away Signature Suites at the Disneyland Hotel are some of the most immersive rooms on property – and trust me, they’re amazing.
Looking for an extra-special and uber-exclusive way to spend the night at Disneyland Resort? Well, odds are you aren’t going to be able to book a stay inside Sleeping Beauty Castle’s Dream Suite. But there are other incredibly cool and impressively themed rooms you can book. And they’re hiding on the upper floors of the Disneyland Hotel’s towers.
Beyond the standard rooms, suites, and villas, there are five extra-special rooms hidden inside Disneyland’s historic first hotel. And trust me: These rooms are insane.
Designed to offer an exclusive experience, these Signature Suites blend Club Level service with theming that’s inspired by some of Disneyland’s classic attractions, lands, and even characters. There are suites modeled after the theme of each of the hotel’s three towers – Adventure, Fantasy, and Frontier – plus one inspired by Mickey Mouse himself. And you can stay in any of them.
What’s inside each of the Disneyland Hotel’s little-known, super cool Signature Suites? We’re sharing the details below.
The Most Magical Rooms at the Disneyland Hotel: Signature Suites
There are five different immersively themed suites, which are officially called Signature Suites, at the Disneyland Hotel:
- Adventureland Suite
- Big Thunder Suite
- Fairytale Suite
- Mickey Mouse Suite
- Pirate Suite
Most of these Signature Suites are two-bedroom suites, with one exception – the Fairytale Suite is a one-bedroom – and they offer room for two to six guests. All of the suites include your standard amenities, along with Club Level perks like continental breakfast, snacks, a wine and cheese reception, access to the E-Ticket club (and its fireworks vantage point), nightly turndown service, and personal assistance from Club Staff.
But unlike any other rooms or suites at this Disneyland Resort hotel, these top-tier ones are stunning in their design. Step inside, and you’ll feel transported to a castle, the waterways of the Jungle Cruise, or even Disney’s classic cartoons starring Mickey Mouse. What makes them truly magical, though, is they’re filled with special touches and effects (including pixie dust!) that bring the parks to life even while you’re relaxing.
Here’s what’s so cool about each of these five Signature Suites at the Disneyland Hotel.
Adventureland Suite

You can live like Indiana Jones himself when you book a stay inside the Adventureland Suite. Home to two bedrooms – one themed after a safari lodge and one designed like a safari tent – it’ll make you feel like you’re camping along the shores of the Jungle Cruise’s waterways.
This incredibly awesome suite is even more magical inside the bathrooms. Take a shower, and you’ll discover a grotto inside with cool lighting and sound effects that mimic the noises of either a rainforest or savanna. Speaking of sound, no matter where you are in the main living areas, you’ll get to enjoy some soft background music… all of which is inspired by adventure-filled Disney movies and attractions (like the Jungle Cruise and, yes, Indiana Jones).
From the artwork on the walls to the artifacts on the desks and bookcase shelves throughout the suite, you’ll feel like you’re looking at historic items sourced straight for the places that inspired Disneyland’s own Adventureland.
Big Thunder Suite

Book a stay inside the Big Thunder Suite, and you’ll have a chance to stay in the wildest hotel room in the wilderness – seriously! Sleeping and relaxing in this room is like entering the town of Rainbow Ridge and stepping back in time into the 1800s. Here, cowboy boots, mining tools, and plenty of copper touches decorate the suite’s rooms, along with attraction posters for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
The Big Thunder Suite at the Disneyland Hotel also includes some standout touches that enhance your experience with that classic Disney magic. For example, guests who turn the knob marked “Do Not Turn” (I mean, who’s going to obey that kind of sign anyway?!) will suddenly hear sound effects from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad itself, almost like a runaway mine train is coming through the suite. Pick up the old telephone, and you’ll also be able to listen in as miners chat with one another.
And of course, you’ll get a chance to take in the “view” of Big Thunder Mountain itself – the attraction’s iconic mountain tops make an appearance in a faux window that makes guests feel like they’re staying right inside Frontierland.
Fairytale Suite

If you’ve always wanted to step inside one of the Disney Princesses’ castles, you’re in luck: the Fairytale Suite at the Disneyland Hotel delivers that experience. This magical Signature Suite may be the smallest of the bunch, but it offers an incredible amount of pixie dust. In fact, that magic starts as soon as you step inside; close the suite’s front door, and Tinker Bell flies in and lights up the room with her very own glittering pixie dust.
Elegant and romantic touches decorate every corner of the bedroom, bathroom, and living room space. One of the most incredible spots is actually the bathroom, where a mosaic of a castle stands above the bathtub, making for one iconic place to kick back and relax. The bedroom looks like it’s designed for royalty, too, thanks to the opulent bed and its linens.
Throughout the Fairytale Suite, you’ll also find pictures of classic Disney love stories, like Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip, Belle and the Beast, and more. Plus, if you’ve ever wanted to get up close to one of those incredible crystal castle replicas created by Arribas Brothers, good news: One sits inside this suite.
Mickey Mouse Penthouse Suite

The Mickey Mouse Penthouse Suite was the very first themed Signature Suite at the Disneyland Hotel, and it’s been welcoming guests into its whimsical, charming rooms since 2007. Splashed with hues of Mickey’s iconic black, red, and yellow colors, this room will make you feel like you’re staying right in his very own home (although it is far more modern in aesthetics compared to his Toontown residence).
Mickey is, well, everywhere inside this multi-room suite. He’s on the ceiling, the dresser drawer pulls, on the phone, and even over the beds – the sorcerer’s hat that acts as a headboard in one room is absolutely adorable. Plus, the rooms are filled with artwork from the Disney Animation Library and photos from the Disney Archives, including some rare images of Walt and Mickey, cartoon sketches, and even animation maquettes.
One of the coolest touches? It’s the countless Hidden Mickeys that decorate the suite. You could spend your entire visit looking for them all – but you’d probably never make it into the theme parks!
Pirate Suite

Yo ho, yo ho – step inside the Pirate Suite at the Disneyland Hotel, and you’ll find yourself humming the classic tune from Pirates of the Caribbean all night long. Ring the suite’s doorbell, and it’ll play “Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate’s Life for Me” to set the tune for your stay.
This expansive Signature Suite celebrates the attraction itself, decorating the walls with concept art, a full-scale map of the ride, and props and treasures straight out of Disney history, like a signed lithograph from Xavier “X” Atencio, the Disney Legend responsible for that catchy pirate tune. You’ll find character sketches on the walls, pirate flags on the beds, and plenty of ocean-inspired touches like model ships, giant shells, and more.
But the Pirate Suite also honors the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise, with props dotting the spaces of the suites. You’ll find replicas of Captain Jack Sparrow’s revolver and Davy Jones’ Dead Man’s Chest.
How to Book One of the Disneyland Hotel’s Signature Suites
The themed suites at the Disneyland Hotel aren’t too difficult to find – they are listed right on the Disneyland website, but odds are most guests aren’t looking for rooms above a few hundred bucks per night. So, while they’re not exactly a secret, they aren’t widely advertised. Even experts often overlook them (I myself, despite my many years visiting Disneyland, didn’t realize these suites were bookable until I started planning my wedding at the resort).
But it’s actually super easy to book any one of the magical suites at the Disneyland Hotel. In fact, you can do so right online, just like any of the hotel’s other rooms or suites.
The only catch? You’ll need to make sure your date is available. If it’s not available, you should still be able to see the suites listed – they just will give you a message stating “This room type is unavailable for the dates, party size or offer selected.”
How Much Do the Disneyland Hotel’s Signature Suites Cost?
The Disneyland Hotel’s magical, immersive suites do come with a steep per-night price. If you’re hoping to spend the night in one, you can expect it to cost thousands of dollars.
During the “off season”, or slower months of the year, you’ll find one night in a Disneyland Hotel themed suite costs around $4,500. During busier, more crowded times of the year, the price can increase to about $5,500 (and availability will also be more limited).
Remember, that price doesn’t include taxes and fees – so you can expect to spend about $5,000 to $6,000 per night to rest up in one of these stunning Signature Suites.
Are the Disneyland Hotel’s Signature Suites Worth Their Price?
While these themed suites inside the Disneyland Hotel are incredible and incredibly luxurious, they are expensive. They are significantly more expensive than even a multi-room suite at the top-tier hotels surrounding Disneyland Resort.
Take the JW Marriott in Anaheim, for example. This luxury hotel just a few blocks from Disneyland offers a two-bedroom premium suite for $1,207 during the same non-peak period. Compared to the $4,500 price of Disneyland Hotel’s Signature Suites, that means you’re spending more than 3.5 times a luxury hotel’s rate just to stay in an extra-magical room.
Even the most expensive rooms at the JW Marriott go for just over $1,500 per night. So, unless you’re willing to spend significantly more on a Disney-exclusive room and hotel experience, it really isn’t worth the price. Sure, you’re getting Club Level perks. But do those perks really add up to an additional $3,000 in value for a one-night stay? Odds are they don’t.
That being said, staying in a Disneyland Hotel Signature Suite is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If it’s on your Disney bucket list, or you’re celebrating a particularly special occasion or visit, it’s undeniable that a night in one of these suites is unlike any other Disneyland Resort hotel suite.
