We share our experience and the winning menu items we’d eat again and again in our Whispering Canyon Cafe review.

The meals are sure to leave you with a satisfied stomach, but it’s the zany Cast Members who will leave the smile on your face.
Below is our short Whispering Canyon Café review, but for an in-depth look at hijinks, menu, and more, subscribe to our print edition in time for our special Cast Member Magic issue in February. Restaurant columnist Danny Shuster takes us deep inside the magic of Whispering Canyon with high-res photos, fun Cast Member stories, and more.
Whispering Canyon Café at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge invites guests to “round up the whole family for hearty Western fare with all-you-care-to-enjoy skillets and shenanigans!” We recently dined there before our day in the parks, and we had one of the best breakfasts we’ve had on property. The dress is casual, and the décor matches the rustic feel of the resort.
We won’t to spoil any surprises; however, keep in mind that the servers at Whispering Canyon Café love to horse around with guests with their playfully sarcastic attitude. It’s fun to play along; however, remember to mind your manners or you may find yourself “in jail”! Everything is in jest, and we laughed hysterically at our server’s antics.

How Much Does Whispering Canyon Café Cost?
Whispering Canyon Café’s Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner costs $15 to $34.99 per adult (plus tax and gratuity). There’s also à la carte meals for children (including all-you-care-to-enjoy options) as well as appetizers, specialty drinks, and other items available at an additional cost.
Whispering Canyon Café Breakfast Menu
Whispering Canyon Cafe’s Breakfast’s menu didn’t disappoint.
We ordered The Heritage that came with house-made buttermilk-cheddar biscuits and sausage gravy with scrambled eggs, country potatoes, hickory-smoked bacon, pork sausage links, and Mickey-shaped waffles.
Our daughter ordered the All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Pioneer Skillet with a Mickey-shaped egg, Mickey-shaped biscuit, Mickey-shaped waffle, country potatoes, bacon, rib, and chicken leg– and she swapped out the rib, potatoes, and chicken leg for extra bacon.
Everything was delicious, and we ordered several rounds of extras.
Whispering Canyon Café Lunch and Dinner Menu
While we haven’t yet dined here for lunch or dinner, there are several menu items we’re excited to try on a future visit for a separate review of Whispering Canyon Café, including the ‘Burnt Ends’ Nachos and Chopped Bison Burger.
Whispering Canyon Café’s cocktail menu also features some interesting libations we plan to try such as the Walk the Plank with Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye Whisky, orange juice, orgeat (almond), and lemon juice garnished with Luxardo gourmet maraschino cherries.

Whispering Canyon Café Dessert Menu
Whispering Canyon Café’s dessert menu also looks promising for our next visit, and we can’t wait to dig into their Whispering Canyon Pioneer Chocolate Cake and Granny Smith Apple Pie.
Whispering Canyon Café Review
As I mentioned earlier, Whispering Canyon Café was one of our favorite breakfast spots on property—second only to Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera.
Our server kept us entertained and full during our visit, and his playfully sarcastic style exemplified what the restaurant is famous for. Again, I don’t want to spoil any surprises for readers who haven’t dined there before; just keep in mind that their “attitude” is part of the show.
Also, a friendly heads-up—if you order a Diet Coke, you may have to soon order a refill. We won’t say why; you’ll have to see for yourself.
A Few Things to Remember
As you plan your visit to Whispering Canyon Café, here a some helpful tips:
- Make your reservations early. If you don’t get it on your 60-day ADR session, keep checking the My Disney Experience app in the days and weeks before your visit. We’ve found that other guests may cancel the day before their reservation, leaving a spot or two open.
- Talk to your server or the chef if you have food allergies/sensitivities. They will gladly discuss the ingredients and offer recommendations for substitutions.
We’ll soon head back to Whispering Canyon Café for breakfast (and maybe lunch and dinner). Yeehaw!
