Did you know you can rent DVC points to book your next Disney vacation? We’re sharing the best way to save money on your Disney Deluxe Resort.

There are several exclusive benefits that come with staying at Disney Deluxe Resort hotels, including access to Extended Evening Hours at Disney World, deluxe amenities, and access to a variety of different table service dining options. And while Disney Deluxe Resort hotels are also typically the most expensive hotel bookings you can make on Disney property, there is one option that will let you book these room types for less — when you rent DVC points.

We’re sharing a guide to renting DVC points for your next Disney vacation, including how it works, where you can do it, and which hotels it’s applicable for.

How to Rent DVC Points

So, how does renting DVC points work? There are several sites available that current DVC members work with in order to “rent out” their points for others to use. Using the site, you are able to book a Disney Vacation Club property using that member’s points. This means you will likely be paying significantly less than you would if booking directly through the Disney website.

Using David’s DVC Rentals

While there are multiple locations to rent DVC points, we recommend using our partners at David’s DVC Rentals for booking. The site makes the process of renting points as simple as possible, with a helpful team on hand to answer any questions. The process for David’s DVC Rentals starts by using their helpful cost calculator. Here, you can input your dates, and calculate how much your total would be at each of the Disney Vacation Club properties

Then, you can go ahead and select your preferred dates and hotels (you can choose up to three options). You’ll pay a $105 deposit along with your request, which will be returned to you if none of your preferred hotels are available for your dates. Alternatively, if your room types are available, that deposit will be absorbed into the cost of your trip.

Typically, you’ll hear back within a day, and payment is due in full within 24 hours of being notified. The DVC member will put the lead guest’s name and information on the reservation, so you’ll be able to receive a confirmation number and add everything to My Disney Experience easily.

How early do I need to book with David’s DVC Rentals?

The Disney Vacation Club releases inventory on an 11-month rolling window, so reservations can be booked a maximum of 11 months in advance of your desired check-in date. Some rooms and resorts sell out more quickly than others – you can find some guidance on that here.

If I rent DVC points, can I access my reservation in My Disney Experience?

Yes, you can connect your reservation to any Disney services. Once booked, you’ll receive the confirmation number that you can use on My Disney Experience to link to your account. This way, you can book your Advance Dining Reservations 60 days in advance, and connect any park tickets.

Guests booking in Disneyland and Disney’s Aulani Resort can also connect their confirmation number to MyDisneyland or My Aulani, respectively.

Will I get daily housekeeping when renting DVC points?

Since you’ll be staying in a Disney Vacation Club room, daily housekeeping will not be included. However, the “Trash & Towel” service is provided on day four for all stays between four and eight nights. And if you are staying eight nights or longer you will get a full cleaning service on day four, and “Trash & Towel” service on day eight.

Can I add the Disney Dining Plan to my reservation?

Beginning with the Disney Dining Plan’s return on January 9, 2024, you’ll be able to add the Disney Dining Plan to your DVC reservation. The Dining Plan must be added by your DVC Booking Owner, so David’s DVC Rentals will facilitate this for you. You can contact the team on weekdays at 1-800-610-5791, any time between 9:30 AM and 5:30 PM.
