What’s this about a Ratatouille Lightning Lane? If you’re heading to EPCOT before August 7, then you need to know about these upcoming Genie+ changes.
Ratatouille Lightning Lane Coming Soon

You might remember when we broke the news that Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure was doing away with its virtual queue and going back to using a traditional standby line.
Now, Disney has announced that a Ratatouille Lightning Lane is coming to Genie+. Starting May 31, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure joins a roster of Genie+ Lightning Lane attractions at EPCOT that already includes:
- Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival
- Frozen Ever After
- Journey into Imagination with Figment
- Living with the Land
- Mission: SPACE – Green
- Mission: SPACE – Orange
- Soarin’ Around the World
- Spaceship Earth
- Test Track
- The Seas with Nemo & Friends
- Turtle Talk with Crush

Beginning on May 27, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will have an Individual Attraction Lightning Lane Entrance. That means access to this Lightning Lane is not included with Genie+.
You’ll need to pay for Individual Lightning Lane access for the ride via the Genie app. Prices fluctuate based on a variety of factors (for example, the day and time you want to ride). Check the My Disney Experience App for pricing and availability info on the day of your trip.
So now you can join this intergalactic chase via Individual Lightning Lane or the virtual queue. No standby queue for this one.
Heading to EPCOT Before August 7?
A note from the official Walt Disney World website:
Until August 7, 2022, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Frozen Ever After, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure (beginning May 31, 2022), Space Mountain and Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain will be included via Disney Genie+ service and will not be included as individual Lightning Lane entry selections.
Do I Need Genie+ To Buy Individual Lightning Lane Access?
Nope. All guests can purchase Individual Lightning Lane access with or without Genie+. We do suggest Genie+ for your trip. After many team members from WDW Magazine tested Genie+ at the parks, we can say it is the definitive must-have for each member of your party.
Priced at $15 per person, it’s cheaper than a pair of Mickey ears and can guarantee a quick wait for Haunted Mansion, Frozen Ever After, Kilimanjaro Safaris, and more.
How Many Individual Lightning Lanes Can I Buy?
Right now, guests are limited to two Individual Lightning Lane purchases per visit.
Keep in mind that if you have Genie+, these Individual Attractions will be scheduled in addition to the Lightning Lane rides you select throughout the day.
