Disney Cruise Line has revealed its fall 2027 and spring 2028 itineraries, and the schedule includes several sailings unlike anything you’ll find during a typical season.
Disney Cruise Line has no shortage of cruises to the Bahamas and Caribbean, but occasionally, the company releases an itinerary that immediately stands out. Maybe it visits a destination that rarely appears on Disney’s schedule, includes two days at Castaway Cay or gives guests the chance to sail aboard a familiar ship from an entirely new home port.
The newly announced fall 2027 and spring 2028 Disney Cruise Line schedule contains several of these unusual voyages. The lineup includes the Disney Wish’s first sailings from New York City, the Disney Fantasy’s first visit to Bermuda and two 14-night journeys through the Panama Canal. You can find every ship, sailing date and starting price in our complete guide to Disney Cruise Line’s 2027 and 2028 sailings.
Early booking begins for select Castaway Club members on August 31, 2026, while reservations open to the general public on Sept. 8, 2026. If you’re hoping to take a Disney cruise that is a little different from the standard three- or four-night getaway, these are seven of the most noteworthy options to consider.

1. The Disney Wish’s Limited Sailings From New York City
Disney Cruise Line is returning to New York City in fall 2027—and it is bringing the Disney Wish along for the journey. The ship will arrive in New York in late September following its inaugural European season, marking a major departure from the short Bahamian cruises that have defined most of the Wish’s schedule since its 2022 debut.

Only seven Disney Wish voyages will depart from New York, with itineraries ranging from four to seven nights. Five of the cruises will visit Bermuda, including three that provide an additional day to explore the island. That extra time could be particularly appealing to families who want to see more than the area immediately surrounding the cruise terminal.
Disney Cruise Line will also return to New England and Canada’s Atlantic coast for the first time in nearly four years. These autumn sailings provide a very different experience from Disney’s usual tropical vacations, pairing the Disney Wish with cooler temperatures, fall foliage and historic coastal destinations. With only seven New York departures planned, these cruises could be among the most in-demand voyages in the new release.
2. The Disney Fantasy’s First Cruise to Bermuda
The Disney Fantasy will visit Bermuda for the first time during an eight-night cruise from Fort Lauderdale. Although other Disney ships have traveled to the destination, Bermuda is entirely new territory for the Fantasy, which spent years operating primarily seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral.

The itinerary is especially noteworthy because Bermuda is not its only major destination. Guests will also visit both of Disney Cruise Line’s Bahamian retreats: Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. That makes the sailing an unusual combination of a less-common Disney port and the cruise line’s two dedicated island destinations.
An eight-night voyage also provides considerably more time to explore the Disney Fantasy than the four- and five-night cruises the ship will operate during portions of the season. For guests who still associate the Fantasy with longer vacations, this sailing offers the ship time, destination variety and leisurely pace they may be looking for.
3. Two 14-Night Panama Canal Cruises Aboard the Disney Magic
Guests looking for a true bucket-list voyage will have two opportunities to travel through the Panama Canal aboard the Disney Magic. The ship will make one eastbound crossing in fall 2027 and a westbound crossing in spring 2028, with each repositioning cruise lasting 14 nights.

Both voyages will include a maiden call for Disney Cruise Line. The eastbound cruise will stop at Fuerte Amador, providing access to Panama City, while the westbound journey will visit Colón on the Caribbean side of the canal. The Panama Canal crossing itself is also a major part of the experience, giving guests the chance to watch the ship pass through one of the world’s most famous engineering landmarks.
Repositioning cruises tend to feel different from standard Disney itineraries. They are longer, often include several days at sea and may visit ports that do not regularly appear on the cruise line’s schedule. Two weeks aboard the Disney Magic will not work for every family, particularly those tied to school calendars, but that also makes these voyages some of the most distinctive Disney cruises announced for 2027 and 2028.
4. An Eight-Night Eastern Caribbean Cruise Aboard the Disney Treasure
The Disney Treasure typically operates seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, but its newly announced schedule includes one special eight-night Eastern Caribbean voyage. While one extra night may not sound like a dramatic change, it provides more time to enjoy a ship that is packed with themed dining, entertainment and lounges.

The Disney Treasure features experiences inspired by attractions and stories including the Haunted Mansion, Aladdin, Coco, The Lion King and the Jungle Cruise. Because the ship usually follows a repeating seven-night schedule, a longer itinerary is an uncommon opportunity for guests who want additional time onboard without committing to a two-week repositioning cruise.
This sailing could be particularly appealing to families who have already taken a standard Treasure cruise and want something slightly different. It also provides a middle ground between Disney Cruise Line’s short Bahamian getaways and its much longer specialty voyages.
5. A Six-Night Disney Treasure Cruise With Two Castaway Cay Visits
The Disney Treasure will also offer one six-night Bahamian cruise featuring two stops at Disney Castaway Cay. Often described by cruise fans as a “double dip,” an itinerary with two Castaway Cay days gives guests a second chance to enjoy the private island’s beaches, activities and dining.
Having two visits can remove some of the pressure from a Castaway Cay day. Families might spend their first stop snorkeling, biking or visiting the waterslides at Pelican Plunge, then use the second for a slower beach day. Adults can also make time for Serenity Bay without necessarily giving up activities with the rest of the family.
This sailing is a notable change of pace for the Treasure, which will otherwise continue its usual seven-night Caribbean schedule. Guests will get a slightly shorter vacation while still having enough time to experience the ship, and twice the opportunity to relax at Castaway Cay.
6. A Six-Night Disney Dream Cruise With Two Castaway Cay Visits
The Disney Dream is getting a Castaway Cay double dip of its own. During one six-night Bahamian sailing, the ship will make two stops at Disney’s original private island destination.

The Dream will spend part of the season operating three- and four-night cruises from Port Canaveral before repositioning to Fort Lauderdale in November 2027. Most of its Fort Lauderdale schedule will consist of three- to five-night Bahamian voyages, making this six-night itinerary a rare chance to enjoy a longer vacation aboard the ship.
This could be an especially good option for guests who like the Dream but find its typical three- and four-night sailings too rushed. Six nights allow more time to experience the AquaDuck, rotational dining, live entertainment, and adult-exclusive spaces while still delivering two full Castaway Cay days.
7. Galveston Cruises Visiting Both Disney Island Destinations
Disney Cruise Line guests do not necessarily have to travel to Florida to visit both Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay. Select seven-night Bahamian cruises aboard the Disney Magic will depart from Galveston and include stops at both Disney destinations.
Reaching the Bahamas from Texas requires a longer itinerary than sailing from Port Canaveral or Fort Lauderdale, but it provides a valuable alternative for families in Texas and surrounding states. Guests may be able to drive to the port instead of adding flights, a hotel stay, and a lengthy Florida travel day to their vacation.

The itinerary itself is also unusual for the Disney Magic. The ship will spend the season operating four- to seven-night voyages from Galveston after completing its eastbound Panama Canal crossing. For families who want to experience both Disney islands while sailing aboard one of the cruise line’s smaller, classic ships, the seven-night Bahamian voyages are worth a closer look.
What About the Disney Believe?
There is another major arrival coming in late 2027: the Disney Believe. The new ship will be the fourth vessel in the Wish class, joining the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny. However, Disney has not yet revealed its inaugural sailing date, home port or itineraries, so the Believe is not included among the cruises opening for booking in this itinerary release.

Disney has already shared a few details about what guests will find onboard. The ship’s Grand Hall will draw inspiration from Moana, with a bronze statue of Moana, Pua and Heihei serving as its centerpiece. Tinker Bell and other Peter Pan characters will appear in the bow artwork, while Woody and Buzz Lightyear will decorate the stern.
The ship will also feature experiences influenced by stories including Encanto, Frozen, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Moana and The Little Mermaid. Disney has confirmed that the Disney Believe will begin sailing in late 2027, but additional information is still to come.
That leaves Disney Cruise Line fans with an interesting choice. They can book one of the rare, limited itineraries already announced for fall 2027 and spring 2028, or wait to learn where the newest Disney cruise ship will travel when it makes its debut.
All itineraries are subject to change. Disney Cruise Line’s newly announced sailings open to select Castaway Club members beginning August 31, 2026, followed by general booking on September 8, 2026.
