What are the Pros and Cons of a stay at Disney’s Yacht Club? Check here before you book your next trip to Walt Disney World!
Disney’s Yacht Club sits right next door to Disney’s Beach Club and is a great choice for those who love the central location.
Yacht Club Pros
Location
Being centrally located allows guests at the Yacht Club to walk (or take a boat ride) to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Guests are also within walking distance of Disney’s BoardWalk and its entertainment.
Stormalong Bay

Stormalong Bay is one of the most coveted pools on Disney Property. It consists of sand-bottomed pools, a lazy river, and a waterslide coming off of a shipwreck; it provides more than enough entertainment for a resort day.
Dining Options
Yacht Club is a “sister” resort to Disney’s Beach Club resort, and the dining options are top-notch. Choose from Beaches & Cream, Cape May Cafe, Yachtsman Steakhouse, and Ale & Compass. If those don’t appeal to you, the BoardWalk Inn, Swan & Dolphin, and EPCOT are all within walking distance.
Yacht Club Cons
Bus Service
There is always some sort of shared bus service happening with Yacht Club guests and the nearby Deluxe resorts. Budget some buffer time into your schedule if you need to be at Disney’s Animal Kingdom or Magic Kingdom by a specific time.
Not as Disneyfied
The Yacht Club doesn’t have as much colorful Disney decor as other themed resorts. Its sophistication appeals more to the adult crowd, as this resort often hosts conventions. Disney is still in the details, however; just look for the hidden Mickeys!
Price
If you can’t snag a room discount, the Yacht Club can be expensive. But many people claim the location and pool certainly justify the cost.
Should You Stay at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort?
If you’re all about location and close proximity to two parks, then, yes! The Yacht Club shares some amenities with the Beach Club, but it certainly still stands on its own.
If you’re looking for a resort with less sticker shock, try Disney’s Caribbean Beach for a more relaxed nautical experience.
