Magic Kingdom’s lilac-hued, Instagram-famous selfie wall is now a Pride Month photo op. Meet us at the Pride Purple Wall.

June is Pride Month and Disney is giving members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community many opportunities to share their pride throughout the parks.

We’ve already gotten a look at this year’s rebranded Disney Pride Collection. The Purple Wall’s new look is another way that Disney is showing that they stand with community.

Where Is The Pride Purple Wall?

The Purple Wall is located between Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant and Monsters Inc., Laugh Floor

When someone tells you, “Meet me at the Purple Wall,” what they really mean is, “Meet me at the wall in between Monsters, Inc, Laugh Floor and Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant.” Ya, Purple Wall definitely has a better ring to it.

If you’re leaving the Hub, you’ll find the Pride Purple Wall along a walkway near the entrance to Tomorrowland. Just look for the line-up of selfie-takers. Yes, really. This is the wall that spawned an entire collection of merch, after all.

Our reporter, Ilana Robinson, was able to get some photos of the Pride Purple Wall during her last trip to Magic Kingdom.

To celebrate Pride Month, the Purple Wall is decorated with a pair of giant rainbow Mickey Ears. The design is inspired by the Progress Pride Flag. The traditional rainbow colors represent the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBTQ+) community. The pink, light blue, and white stripes represent the transgender community. The brown and black stripes represent people of color.

Look closely in the bottom left corner, and you’ll see a small silhouette of Mickey standing against the word, “LOVE.” It’s the same symbol found on select pieces of this year’s Pride Month merch collection.

BONUS: If you’re on the hunt for all of the Fab 50 character statues, you’ll find the golden Stitch mounted along the Purple Wall.

More Pride Month Photo Ops At Walt Disney World

The Pride Purple Wall isn’t Walt Disney World’s only Pride-themed photo op this year. All four parks will have a Pride Month backdrop. According to Disney Parks Blog, each photo wall will be themed according to its surroundings. What they all have in common, however, is a design that honors the “diversity and pride within the LGBTQIA+ community.”

Pride Purple Wall Up For A Limited Time

If you want to snap a photo in front of the Pride Purple Wall, act fast! The rainbow artwork will disappear after Pride Month. While this Pride Month photo op may be temporary, Disney’s ongoing commitment to inclusion continues every day.

Small changes like this one, even if temporary, tell guests and Cast Members that they always have a home at the Most Magical Place on Earth. And that’s worth celebrating.
