Pixar Place Hotel is now open! Learn more about the reimagined hotel, and take a peek inside at what it looks like now.

It’s a big day at Disneyland Resort! After a long reimagining, Paradise Pier Hotel has officially reopened as Pixar Place Hotel. The exciting new hotel option features inspiration from your favorite Disney/Pixar films, including Toy Story, Finding Nemo, and Coco. And now it’s officially open for guests under the new name.

Pixar Place Hotel Now Open

Alongside Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Pixar Place Hotel is now open as an on-site option at Disneyland Resort. While Disneyland’s hotels aren’t broken into the same value, moderate, and deluxe categories that Walt Disney World’s hotels are, Pixar Place Hotel is a comparable option to a value resort. Pixar Place Hotel is the most affordably-priced of Disneyland Resort’s three hotels, and it’s a great option for families or those looking for a budget-friendly room.

“We are looking to turbocharge expansion at Disneyland Resort over the coming years, and the transformation of Pixar Place Hotel is a demonstration of how we’re creating high-quality guest experiences infused with our most popular stories,” said Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock.

The hotel is filled with fun touches for fans of the Pixar films. For example, you can find Pixel Pool up on the pool deck, themed to Finding Nemo and Finding Dory. Additionally, you’ll find new, colorful Pixar-themed rooms with images of your favorite Pixar characters. They even come with fun nods to Pixar’s heritage, like Luxo Jr. desk lamps and artwork.

“At Pixar, our mission is to tell great stories. And nothing is more exciting than when we see those stories come to life in Disney parks. Pixar Place Hotel at the Disneyland Resort is the perfect example – it’s like walking into a world of Pixar. It’s truly immersive, and we’re thrilled to have collaborated with Walt Disney Imagineering to make such an experience possible for guests,” said Pixar Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter.

New Lobby and Pixar Entertainment

The centerpiece of the redesigned lobby is a large sculpture of the iconic Pixar Lamp balancing atop its ball. Above it hangs a mobile that’s meant to represent the beginning stages of Pixar filmmaking, with recognizable character designs.

Excitingly, Disney has also revealed special entertainment at select times. Throughout the day, you may find Joe Gardner from Soul playing the piano near the hotel’s staircase. Additionally, Bing Bong from Inside Out will be available for photos as select times, making it the first time the character has appeared at a Disney Park.

More Still to Come

Final touches will be complete later this year, including two new two-bedroom signature suites and a concierge lounge. One of the suite options will be themed to Coco, with vibrant Oaxacan art paying tribute to Miguel and his family. The other suite will be themed to The Incredibles with modern midcentury designs and Parr family memorabilia. The Creators Club concierge lounge will be available on the second floor, honoring the partnership between Walt Disney Imagineering and Pixar Animation Studios.
