After a years-long absence, Disney has revealed that traditional pin trading (Cast Member to guest) has returned to select locations in Disney Springs.
For the past few years, pin trading at Disney World has been available in a modified format. Prior to Disney World’s 2020 closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, pin trading was done directly between guests and Cast Members, with Cast Members wearing lanyards displaying pins. However, for the past few years, pin trading has been done in a more limited capacity, with trading boards available at various locations through Walt Disney World. Now, Disney has revealed that this will be changing, with traditional pin trading returning.
Traditional Pin Trading Returns
Disney has shared that traditional pin trading has returned to select merchandise locations at Disney Springs. What this means is that select Cast Members will have lanyards or pin boards with them, available for you to participate in pin trading fun once again. Currently, this kind of pin trading is limited to select locations in Disney Springs, but Disney did reveal that it will also be returning to more Disney World merchandise locations in 2024.

So, what is pin trading exactly? Disney pin trading is an interactive experience that many fans enjoy doing at the Disney Parks. For traditional pin trading, you can look out for Cast Members with pins on their lanyards or trading boards, and ask to trade your official Disney pins with them. It’s a fun and unique experience that allows you to collect new and exciting pins from previous years that may no longer be sold in-store.
