PHOTOS: Explore the Interior of Steakhouse 71 at Contemporary Resort

by | Sep 30, 2021 | WDW Blog

We got a chance to explore the interior of Steakhouse 71 (AND try the food!) at the Contemporary Resort a day before it officially opens on Oct. 1.

Steakhouse 71 is one of Walt Disney World’s newest restaurants, replacing the now defunct The Wave…Of American Flavor at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

Disney teased us with the menu earlier in September, but it wasn’t until today that we actually got to go inside the new steakhouse, ahead of its opening day.

(It’s opening day, you might have noticed, coincides with the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World, which opened in 1971. 71. See what they did there?)

Come along with us on a photo journey to explore the interior of Steakhouse 71 at Contemporary Resort.

Steakhouse 71 Interior: Artwork

Steakhouse 71 is loaded with artwork, from murals to vintage photography to abstract paintings that, when put together, depict Magic Kingdom and EPCOT.

Oh, and this place has plenty of hidden Mickeys to boot.

Steakhouse 71 Interior: Hidden Mickey

This is just one hidden Mickey we spotted inside Steakhouse 71. We noted several others on our first trip alone.

The Bar Area Inside Steakhouse 51

You can also visit Steakhouse 71’s bar area for cocktails and lounge bites. Disney highly recommends a reservation for Steakhouse 71, so if you don’t plan ahead, this can be a way to still get the experience without a full-on meal inside the restaurant.

Other Steakhouse 71 Interior Photos

The sophisticated interior transported us to another time. We almost felt like we were on the set of Mad Men.

Steakhouse 71 Food Photos

As lovely as the interior of Steakhouse 71 was, it was the food that really stole the show. Wow was this food elegant and refined. The cocktails weren’t overly sweet; they were vintage and adult. And the steak? Perfection.
