Here’s how you can have some seasonal fun and celebrate Oktoberfest throughout Walt Disney World Resort.
Oktoberfest is in full swing at Walt Disney World Resort! If you’re looking for a fun way to experience this German autumnal festival, there are plenty of places to do so with a little Disney flair. In fact, the list of places where you can celebrate is more extensive than you may think! With cooler weather in the air in Central Florida, many of our favorite Disney World restaurants have rotated their taps and menus to feature traditional Oktoberfest beers and bites. No matter if you’re visiting the theme parks or enjoying a relaxing day at Disney Springs, try the following can’t-miss places to celebrate Oktoberfest.
Celebrate Oktoberfest at Epcot
Let’s kick things off at Walt Disney World’s most-visited spot during Oktoberfest: EPCOT’s Germany Pavilion! The pavilion itself is expertly themed to mimic a quaint German town in the midst of Oktoberfest celebrations. Oktoberfest beers are tapped, giant Bavarian pretzels are sold at an alarming rate, and the promenade shops are filled with collectible beer steins…so there couldn’t be a more fitting season to spend some time exploring the Germany Pavilion!
To get the full Oktoberfest experience while you’re at EPCOT, make sure to head to these spots.
Biergarten Restaurant is the most highly-themed Oktoberfest space you’ll find on Disney World property. Although the restaurant is inside and protected from the unpredictable weather, the dining room is beautifully designed to look like you’re sitting outside in a German beer garden at twilight, about to witness a live performance from an ‘Oompah’ band!
The all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet serves traditional German foods like wienerschnitzel and (the incredible) pretzel rolls. You can order a large, heavily frosted glass stein full of your favorite beer to accompany your meal to really round out the experience. My favorite way to enjoy the many beer offerings here is by way of the beer flight! You can choose four different German beers to taste with your traditional German meal, making Biergarten a can’t-miss stop on the Oktoberfest trail.
The Famous Bavarian Pretzel Cart
If you’ve visited EPCOT before, you’ve undoubtedly seen Guests passing by, enjoying a massive, brown paper-wrapped Bavarian pretzel. These pretzels, which are sold at an always-busy cart in the Germany Pavilion, have become something of an EPCOT phenomenon over the years. They’re a great snack to share as you explore the World Showcase, and they pair perfectly with my favorite of all the beers in the Germany Pavilion: the tangy and sweet Schofferhofer Hefeweizen Grapefruit!
Oktoberfest Beers and Bites Around Walt Disney World
If you’re not visiting EPCOT this October, there’s still plenty of Oktoberfest fun awaiting you around Walt Disney World Resort. Many locations around the resort are pulling Oktoberfest-themed taps and feature traditional German fare on their menus. Here’s where you’ll find seasonal, German-inspired options beyond EPCOT’s World Showcase.
Baseline Tap House, Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Baseline Tap House at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is one of my favorite spots to visit anytime of the year. During Oktoberfest, a new beer tap has been added to their offerings – and that tap features a rotating selection of Oktoberfest brews!
These rotating beers are perfect to pair with a year-long Baseline staple that perfectly coincides with this months’ festivities: the warm Bavarian Pretzel served with traditional mustard and beer cheese.
Raglan Road and B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co., Disney Springs
Although Irish food and decor reign supreme here, Raglan Road doesn’t miss a chance to celebrate a season that revolves around craft beer! Raglan Road is currently offering De Fesht by Tank Brewing, a 5.9% ABV beer as part of the Oktoberfest celebrations. Raglan Road often features locally sourced and crafted beers, and their Oktoberfest selection this year is no different, as Tank Brewing is made locally in Miami.
If you’re looking for something traditional to snack on in between beer tastings, look no further than B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co. at Disney Springs! Located in Town Center, B.B. Wolf’s is churning out German sausage sandwiches that pair wonderfully with a stroll around the Springs. The Bratwurst Sausage, served with sauerkraut, mustard, and a side of chips, is the best choice for those wishing to enjoy a traditional Oktoberfest snack. B.B. Wolf’s even offers a vegan sausage option for any plant-based eaters looking to join in on the festivities.
No matter if you’re shopping for an authentic new beer stein in EPCOT’s Germany Pavilion or looking to sip on a beer while strolling through Hollywood Studios or Disney Springs, Walt Disney World Resort is the place to be this Oktoberfest season!
