These Connections Café photos prove that the new home of Starbucks at EPCOT is worth the buzz!
We’ve known that the Café was coming for some time now and it was even one of our 22 reasons to go to Disney World in 2022.
Initially, Disney gave us the very-not-specific opening date of spring. Which, you know, didn’t exactly narrow things down. But at the time of writing, Connections Café is officially open for business. Starbucks coffee and Disney tumblers for all!
Our reporter Ilana Robinson was able to snap some Connections Café photos on a recent trip to the park.
Is Connections Café in EPCOT Open?
As of April 22, 2022—Yes! While the Café is open, Disney Parks says the Connections Eatery will officially open to the public on April 27, 2022.
The coffeehouse is the latest addition to EPCOT’s ongoing transformation. Connections Café joins a completed project list that already includes the Creations Shop, the newly reopened Club Cool, expanded France Pavilion, and Space 220.
2023 is still the goal for completion of all EPCOT construction, but checking another planned project off the list feels like time will fly by!
Where Is Connections Café?
You’ll find Connections Café serving up your Starbucks favorites in the new World Celebration neighborhood at EPCOT.
You might remember the location as Electric Umbrella. That restaurant flipped its last burger in February 2020 after almost 26 years of operation.
So if you’re heading into the Park, look to the left of Spaceship Earth. Connections Café and the Creations Shop are next-door neighbors.
What About The Starbucks Traveler’s Café?
Alas, because it was always intended to be a temporary location, the small Starbucks near World Showcase is now closed.
No word yet on what’s being moved into the now empty Traveler’s Café spot.
What’s On The Connections Café & Eatery Menu?
Connections Café has all the caffeinated comforts of your favorite Starbucks. The menu has everything from macchiatos to Dragon Drinks (which we have to assume the latter is Figment’s go-to order).
Connections Eatery, on the other hand, puts an international twist on the fast-casual quick-service restaurant experience.
You won’t have to wait until the Food and Wine Festival to eat around the world. The Connections Eatery menu has foods inspired by different cultures (and many allergy-friendly options too).
It all comes back to the World Celebration’s mission to bring everyone to the table.

The Disney Parks Blog expects that this spot will be a hit with guests thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows that offer views of “a Xandarian Starblaster on one side to Spaceship Earth on the other.”
