Disney Villains fans, it’s time to get excited: An all-new land inspired by your favorite anti-heroes is coming to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park.
Sure, we all love the heroes and heroines of Disney’s beloved movies and stories – but there are plenty of Disney fans who simply can’t get enough of Disney’s villains. And if you’re a dark and twisted kind of person when it comes to your favorite fandoms, you’re going to love the all-new land that’s coming to Walt Disney World Resort’s Magic Kingdom Park: Villains Land.
Villains Land at Magic Kingdom
At 2024’s D23 Expo, Disney revealed its plans for a brand-new land at Disney World’s most iconic theme park. The land, which will be officially called Villains Land, will focus on the nightmares, terrible deeds, and unique stories of Disney’s many different villains (and yes, there might be a poison apple or two!).
While there’s still much we don’t yet know about Villains Land, including when it will officially break ground or open at Magic Kingdom, we do know that it’ll include an array of villains from your favorite Walt Disney Animation Studios films. Classic villains will be represented, along with newer villains from recent films.
And when it comes to attractions and more in Villains Land, it was revealed that two attractions plus shopping and dining are planned.
Preparations are already underway for the new land, but more details are sure to come in the months and years ahead.
Villains Land is not the only expansion coming to the Magic Kingdom. At the recent D23 Expo, additional expansion plans, including an area inspired by Pixar’s Cars film franchise featuring two attractions, were also unveiled.
