New Summer Food Announced for Disney World

New seasonal summer food is coming to Disney World! From special sundaes to seasonal menus, these are the new bites you need to know.

There is a lot to look forward to this summer in Disney World! If you’re visiting during the summer months, you’ll have a chance to ride teh recently opened TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom, or take in the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival through early July (with the EPCOT International Food and WIne Festival starting soon after). And now Disney has revealed some of the new seasonal summer food that will be coming to Walt Disney World!

A new seasonal summer menu was recently announced for the Hollywood Brown Derby, which features new bites as well as returning favorite. Over in EPCOT, Le Cellier Steakhouse has also gotten some new additions over the past month. These have included appetizers like the Green Onion and Garlic Canadian Cove Mussels, and the Mushroom Bisque.

Le Cellier also added new entrées, including the Prime Steak Tartare “Kibbeh Nayeh” with Bulgar wheat, radish, mint, and a garlic aïoli. They also added the Canadian Tourtière which is a chickpea and mushroom pie with braised endive, snap peas, stone fruit ketchup, and a plant-based demi-glace.

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Restaurantosaurus will be welcoming back the Fried Chicken Sandwich starting June 1st. The meal includes a brioche bun with fried chicken breast, pickles, lettuce, tomato, and a roasted garlic aïoli. Recently, Tamu Tamu also welcomed back the Pineapple Crisp Sundae, which is a pineapple crisp cake with vanilla ice cream, topped with pineapple caramel and a streusel topping.

New Summer Food at the Disney Resort Hotels

The Korean-style IMPOSSIBLE Burger features an IMPOSSIBLE patty made from plants, topped with a Korean-style barbecue sauce and pickles vegetable slaw. This is available to order at:

  • Disney’s All-Star Resorts
  • Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
  • Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
  • Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter
  • Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
  • Disney’s Pop Century Resort

Starting June 1st at these locations, you’ll also be able to grab the Seas the Plant-based Summer, a plant-based chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream and sprinkles. Over at Everything POP Shopping and Dining at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, you can order the Cuban Burger, made with ham, pickled pepper relish, provolone, and dijonnaise on a toasted brioche bun. Starting June 21st, the Bases Loaded Burger will be available at the End Zone Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, made with bacon jam, an onion ring, and beer-cheese sauce.

Starting June 1st, you’ll also be able to grab the Sweet Summertime Favorites at the food courts of Disney’s All Star Resorts. This summertime classic plate features a hot dog, french fries, chocolate sugar cookies, and a raspberry dipping sauce. Another June 1st arrive will be the Summer Berry Shortcake at Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. This will feature a vanilla sponge cake, blueberry copote, strawberries, and Chantilly.

At Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Centertown Market will be serving up the new Mickey Sundae with vanilla-chocolate soft-serve, topped ith mini brownies, Mickey ears, and chocolate. The Minnie Sundae will also be available, with vanilla soft-serve, strawberry sauce, Minnie ears, a bow, and chocolate.

Over at BoardWalk Deli on Disney’s BoardWalk, you’ll be able to grab the Strawberry Shortcake Croissant Roll, which will be available on weekends starting May 29th. And finally, you can grab a Margarita Flight at Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge  starting June 1st. This will feature black cherry, spicy pineapple, raspberry, and cucumber melon margaritas
