Gran Destino Tower

At the International Association of Amusement Parks Convention (IAAPA) this week, Bob Chapek (Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products Chairman) revealed new details and concept art about the new Gran Destino Tower that’s currently being constructed at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.

The tower is expected to be completed by July 2019 and will be the new main entrance point for the resort. It will feature a gorgeous two-story lobby, 545 new guest rooms (including 50 suites), and a themed table-service restaurant.

In addition to the new Gran Destino Tower, a new restaurant is being constructed on an island in the middle of Lake Dorado. Multiple bridge walkways are being constructed to give resort guests convenient access to this new restaurant.

In an effort to seamlessly blend the old with the new, the resort’s current rooms have all been updated with new fixtures, furnishings, and lighting, and a fresh color palette will bring everything together.

Reservations for the new Gran Destino Tower aren’t available yet but will be soon for stays beginning July 2019.
