National Geographic Expeditions build upon the legacy of National Geographic Explorers, with itineraries crafted by National Geographic Experts that allow travelers to encounter the wonders of the world firsthand.

And now, National Geographic Expeditions has revealed its newest itineraries for 2026, 2027, and even beyond that, which will allow travelers to explore even more places than ever before.

Experience the 2027 Solar Eclipse at Sea

For astronomy enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike, the Azores to Barcelona: A Special Solar Eclipse Voyage is a once-in-a-lifetime journey. This all-new itinerary has been carefully planned to place guests directly in the path of totality for the August 2027 solar eclipse, near the Strait of Gibraltar.

As the sky darkens, travelers can witness this extraordinary event alongside expert naturalists and a National Geographic photographer, gaining insight into the science and wonder behind one of nature’s rarest phenomena. This voyage blends astrotourism with cultural exploration, offering a truly cosmic perspective on our world.

The journey begins July 28, 2027 in Ponta Delgada, Azores, ending in Barcelona, Spain on August 9.

Explore the High Arctic and Beyond

National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions is also expanding its Arctic offerings with new and returning itineraries that highlight the region’s breathtaking beauty and fragile ecosystems.

Baffin Island: Exploring Canada’s Wild Arctic Frontier takes travelers deep into Canada’s northern wilderness, while the Fabled Lands of the North: Greenland to Newfoundland itinerary returns after a successful 2024 sailing.
