First, we would like to thank Disney for inviting us to this special media event and for providing admission to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party so we could bring you this recap! In case you missed this information from our last post, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party started August 18th and runs on select nights through October 31st. Ticket prices vary. Make sure to take advantage of your AP or DVC discount!

Halloween Décor

Magic Kingdom is known for its amazing holiday themed décor, and Halloween is no exception! The best place to see the holiday decorations is on Main Street. Scarecrows are there to greet you as you enter. The upper windows, ledges, and balconies are packed with pumpkins and jack o’ lanterns of all shapes and sizes. Glowing pumpkin wreaths are hung from every lamp post. Shop windows are given a Not-So-Scary facelift. At night, it’s even better! The park comes to life with colorful lights and projections, some of which are exclusively for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom

If you play the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom interactive card game, don’t forget to visit the Main Street fire station to pick up your party-exclusive Sorcerer card! This year’s special card features the adorable Orange Bird. You must be attending the party to receive this card.

Trick-or-Treating

At Walt Disney World, trick-or-treating isn’t just for kids! Be on the lookout for special party-exclusive treat locations throughout the park (or simply refer to your park map). There is even a special trick-or-treat experience for those with food allergies!

Character Meet-and-Greets

If you’re looking to meet rare characters, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a safe bet! You can visit some of these characters during regular operating hours, however some characters are exclusive to this event. Some of these characters are so popular that cast members will allow Party guests to get in line and start meeting them prior to the start of the event.
