Here’s your round-up of May 2022 Disney World refurbishments for closed attractions and resorts.
If you’re planning on visiting Walt Disney World (WDW) during the month Justin Timberlake told you about, you’ll want to know what isn’t going to be up and running during your trip.
But you won’t have to guess what’ll be open and temporarily closed in May! Each month, we compile a list of everything scheduled to undergo refurbishment in the month ahead.
April showers bring May flowers, but they sure didn’t bring many May refurbishments. Apart from the long-awaited opening of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, May should be a fairly normal one at WDW.
Magic Kingdom

Walt Disney World Railroad: Vehicle testing is underway at the TRON Lightcycle / Run, so there’s still hope that the WDW Railroad is on track to get back on track by the summer.
The Chapeau: The Chapeau will likely stay shuttered for the rest of 2022. Until it reopens, Box Office Gifts at the Town Square Theater is your stop for world-famous mouse ears and Bonjour! Village Gifts has the commemorative gifts and artwork you crave.
Animal Kingdom

EPCOT

WDW Resort Hotels

May 2022 Disney World Refurbishments
Rides close often for regular service and maintenance, so any unexpected closures will likely only last for a short while. If nothing else, it’s just another excuse to come back and experience the magic again.
